Teaching procedure:

1. (Warm-up) Good morning, class. Before we start our class, let’s enjoy a song first. Play a song about jobs. What jobs do you know? Can you tell me some?

2. Presentation Show them two unclear pictures. T: Can you guess what does he do? And then show them some pictures about their teachers.

Ss: He is a teacher.

Show them “teach” first and then add “er”.

(In the same ways)Teach ―firefighter. Then give them some tips to guess out taxi driver and writer.

Next show them somethings to let them guess the jobs. Teach them office worker and police officer. At last, show them a picture about hospital. And show them doctor and nurse. 3. Extend. Show them more words end with “er”.

4. Play games Show them some sentence said by different people in different jobs and ask them to guess out what his/her job is. Use pattern like “Is he/she a/an ….?”

At last show them a song about “taxi driver” and and let them guess out.

6. Free talk Use a time machine to make them “grow up”. And ask them to talk with each other “What do you want to be?” and answer with “I want to be a/an ….”

7. Practice Give them some exercise to check if they can use the words and phrases. Homework Finish the exercise on the exercise book. Bb design: Unit 6 Jobs What do you do?
