一、
整体设计思路
本课选自开心英语教材六年级上册。本节课是第五课时,即本单元的最后一
个课时。学生在本单元的前几个课时已经学习了本单元的重难点:一般过去时中谓语动词be的变化。基于此,我大胆地将题目改成了“Changes”,以便对教学内容进行拓展,通过多篇阅读,将教学重心从伦敦的变化拓展到我们身边事物的变化,让学生通过本节课的学习,学会在谈论过去时,熟练地使用was/were, 在谈论现在时,使用am/is/are进行描述并写下来,从而培养了学生的阅读和写作能力。
本课首先通过诗歌朗诵让学生感知事物变化,导入书中文本。本课通过“Changes in London”课文话题的延伸,在紧扣本单元话题和教学难点的同时,通过拓展阅读感知过去时和现在时在不同语境下的应用,把各种情景表演出来。通过这种方法,激发学生学习兴趣和表演热情。
本节课的教学对象是六年级学生,学生已具备几年的英语基础和英语理解归纳能力。在进行阅读文本时,采用mind map,能很好的帮助学生理解文中大意,课堂中,老师鼓励学生自主运用mind map 理清思路并尝试用自己的话复述文本,这样能最大限度培养学生用英语思考的能力,激发学生用英语表达的欲望。

教学目标
1.语言知识目标
(1)用一般过去时描述过去的事情。
(2)用一般现在时描述当前的事情。
2.技能培养目标
(1)培养学生用英语进行交际、思维的能力。
(2)学生能用英语描述事物变化,培养学生听、说和写的能力。
3.素质教育目标
(1)通过了解不同事物的变化过程,激发学生关爱家人,关爱社会和保护环境的情感。
(2)培养学生团队精神。

重点与难点:
重点:一般现在时和一般过去时谓语动词的变化。
难点:与英文不同,中文的动词是没有时态的。母语可能对英语有负迁移作用,会使学生忽略英语的时态变化。

The changes in Shanghai
There are a lot of changes in Shanghai. Many years ago, Shanghai was a small village. There were many boats. Not many people lived here. Many of them were fishermen and farmers. Later, people from other places came to Shanghai. There were many bridges. It became a town. Today, Shanghai is a big city. There are many tall buildings. Many people live here. Some of them are from other countries. Shanghai becomes better and better. I live happily in Shanghai.
The Changes of Cathy Cathy is an American girl. She was a lovely girl. She could walk and talk at the age of three. She liked singing and dancing. She liked playing games, too. At the age of seven, she was short and cute. She went to study in primary school. She could read stories and write. After school, she liked riding her bicycle.
Cathy went to middle school at the age of 13 and then university at 18. She was good at sports. She learned to drive when she was 18. Now, Cathy is a 35-year-old lady. She is a mother of 3 children. She is a doctor now.
The changes of a penguin Penguins are black and white birds. They swim and feed in groups. Look at this father penguin, he looks after the baby penguin. It’s a big and white egg. Now the egg opens, what a lovely baby penguin! The baby penguin learns to walk. But he can’t find food by himself. His mother feed him. The baby penguin grows and grows, he becomes an adult penguin. Now, he can swim in the sea and catch fish.
Changes in Shenzhen There are many changes in Shenzhen.
Before 1980, Shenzhen was just an old fishing village. There were no factories, no highways and there weren’t
many people, either. But now Shenzhen city is very different. It is big and modern with lots of people. You can see many tall buildings here and there, such as factories, supermarkets and shopping malls and so on. Shenzhen’s traffic becomes very heavy, too. There are cars, buses, taxis, subways and airplanes. You can take whatever you like. Shenzhen changed a lot. And changes help people live a better life.
