Step 1. Warming up

What do you know about our earth?

Step 2. Lead-in

Get known about the Earth: Water, Land, Air, the Earth Day

Step 3. Presentation

1.Have Ss listen to the tape: Our earth is unhealthy now. What’s wrong with her?

Let’s listen.

Elicit the different answer from Ss.

Teach the new words through it: dirty air, smoke, dirty water, wastes, a can, plastic bags, trash.

Have Ss look and say to review the words.

Then help Ss get known about more about our earth: What else is bad for our earth?

3. Q: What should we do?

Have Ss discuss in groups.

Elicit their different answers from Ss. Then teach the following:

Throw trash in the bin. Don’t spit.

Clean up trash. Save water.

Plant trees.

At the same time, have them get known about the different bins, especially the recyclable.
