Riddle
Do you love riddles? I get one for you. It’s an animal. It has a long tail. It looks like the wolf but it isn’t one of them. It’s very bad and sly. What’s it? Yes, a fox! Today we will read a story about a bad fox. Look at the blackboard and read after me: Grandma Fox. Question: Can you find the bad fox? Right, here it is. Step2 Revision Words: hungry, open, door, who, grandma, hut (Practice) I’m hungry. Open the door. Who is she? She is my grandma. It’s a hut. During this step, I will encourage students to be the little teacher and show us his or her pronunciation. Step3 Read the story 1.
Watch the video carefully, and answer my questions: Q: How many animals are in this story? Who are they? A: The fox, Mr Duck, and little chick. 2.
Watch the video again. Please pay attention to what they said.
Look at the fox please. Do you know what did he say? (Imitation) I’m a fox. I’m hungry. Oh, it’s a hut. Little chick is in it.
Open the door, little chick. ---The fox is very bad.
Look at Mr Duck please. Do you know what did he say? (Imitation) It’s not grandma. It’s a bad fox. Wait, I can help you. Hello, Mrs Hen. I’m Mr Dog. Let me open the door. ---Mr Duck is smart. Look at little chick. Do you know what did he say? (Imitation) Who is it? Oh, grandma. Let me open the door. ---Little chick is innocent. 3.

六.Reflection To attract students’ attention, we always start our class with songs or dance. For this lesson, I prepared a riddle, some words’ cards, headwears and multimedia courseware. We learnt the usage of those words in this story before so they have enough time to review what we learnt. What’s more, they are more willing to read and imitate as the little teacher. During this process, I pay much attention to pronunciation and tone. I
emphasize their ability of using these words to communicate rather than every single detail about the sentences. Roll play which is a classic part in teaching always provide much space for students. I would like to let students to show the big bad fox in their imagination by performance. That can surprise us. In the end, we made a conclusion about nominative case and objective case, and then do some exercises. The design for homework can help students review the story, cultivate divergent thinking and establish self-protection awareness.
