Teaching Ideology New Curriculum advocates quality-oriented education and all round learning. As for reading, it is an interactive process involving not only the perceptions of graphic symbols but also the skills of reading. So in this period, T should follow the Ss-centered principle and act as the role of a guide, a helper and a facilitator of Ss. 

The Analysis of Teaching Material

Material: It is taken from B6M3 of FLTRP focusing on friendship. Content: It is easy because Ss know much about friendship. So the T should add some relevant materials to lead in for better understanding. 

The Analysis of Students The Ss are from Senior 2. They have achieved certain ability in English comprehension. Besides, they have good friends and understand what friendship is, and they are fond of it. Discussion in groups and innovative thought are cried for during the teaching. However, Ss may not be so familiar with the words and sentences used in describing friendship, so T should well present more to raise Ss’ current knowledge of that. And then they can have more ideas about friendship. 
