一、教材分析

本节课是PEP小学英语五年级下册第四单元Part A 的let’s talk 部分的教学内容。教材通过Mr Jones和张鹏就四月份两个特殊的日子——愚人节和复活节日期进行对话的情景,让学生感知核心句型When is April Fool’s Day? It’s on April1st.And Easter? It’s on April 5th.的语义及语用情景。

二、学情分析

本课时是通过Mr Jones和张鹏就四月份两个特殊的日子——愚人节和复活节日期进行对话的情景,学习相关表达和单词,让学生了解的西方文化,易于激发学生学习兴趣。

三、教学目标:

1、知识目标

a.能听说、认读本课时的4个单词first、fifth、April Fool’s Day、special。

b.能听懂、会说:When is April Fool’s Day? It’s on April1st.

And Easter? It’s on April 5th.

2.能力目标

能够在图片,实物或情景的帮助下运用核心句型。

3.情感目标

对本课的两个西方节日有一定了解。

四、教学重点

能够在情景中运用核心句型,询问并回答节日的日期。

能听说、认读本课时有关食物的4个单词。

In 和on的运用

六、教具准备

1、教师准备图片以及人物头饰。

2、教师准备教材Let's talk / A 部分的教学课件。

七、教学过程:

Step1 Greetings

T: Hello, boys and girls.

Ss: Hello, Lucy.

T: What’s the weather like today?

Ss :It’s warm.

Step2 Warm up

Let’s listen to a song. When is your birthday?

Sing along and do the actions.

Step3 Revision

a.show the words of the months using PPT

b.show the pictures to practice the dialogue.

Step 4 New lesson

a.teach special and the sentence. What are they?

To learn the words: April Fool’s Day, first, then Bb the drills: When is April Fool’s Day?

It’s on April1st.

b.To know some knowledge about April Fool’s Day.

c. To learn the words: Easter, fifth, then Bb the drills: And Easter ? =When is Easter? It’s on April 5th.

d. To know some knowledge about Easter.

e. look at the picture of page 38 then listen and answer When is April Fool’s Day?
