教材分析：

教材选自人教新版PEP五年级英语下册Unit4 When is Easter? Read and write.本单元学习的主题是节日、生日的具体日期。本部分学习的核心句型是：

① They have... ② They are... ③ They can... Read and write 分为读、写两部分：第一部分要求学生阅读四篇日记。然后进行朗读和连线活动。要求学生将小猫出生后的变化与相应的日期连线。第二部分为有意义的书写句子活动。要求学生根据短文或连线题正确规范地仿写有关小猫的两个句子。

通过阅读Sarah 的日记，让学生感知上述句型的语义及语用情景，可以理解日记大意，完成相应的练习题，最后达到会表达描述动物的特征和能力，并能书写出来。

小学五年级的学生经过三年多的英语学习，已经认识了基数词、序数词以及关于数字、日期的一些句型，如： When is Easter? My birthday is on November 5th等等。他们有很强的好奇心和求知欲，有一定的观察能力，自主探究和合作学习的能力。学生通过学习本节课的内容，可以让他们学会在实际情境中利用所学单词与句子在真实情境中描述交流。

教学设计: 第六课时

本课时教学目标: 一、知识目标

1.能在语境中理解生词kitten,diary,still,noise,fur,open,walk。

2.学生能够在图片和教师的帮助下读懂四篇日记并完成读后活动。

3.能够体会…on…的句型结构。

二、能力目标

1.能够按照正确的语音、语调、意群朗读课文。

2.能够完成个性化的书写活动。

三、情感态度与价值观

1.通过阅读刚出生的小猫在日记中的微妙变化，能够体会与小动物相处的乐趣。热爱小动物，珍爱生命，热爱生活。

2.体会记日记的乐趣。
