本单元主要围绕“signs”为话题展开各项语言活动。呈现了方老师带领学生参观麦克唐纳先生的农场的场景，引出核心句型是祈使句Don’t ….教学时可创造不同的情景，让学生理解句型在真实语境中的含义和用法，让学生通过对话理解并运用句型。本单元呈现了四种农场中的动物，核心词汇是cow、horse、pig和sheep.本单元的内容与学生实际生活密切相关，非常贴近，在安排课堂活动时，可以提供多种情景供学生操练。在教学时，要扎实落实书本上的语言点。只有充分操练了目标语言知识后才能进入对实际生活的拓展，才能更好的有效的运用语言知识，从而提高学生的语言能力。

语境的帮助下比较熟练的运用。在本课中，设计各种练习加强学生的口语表达能力。通过小组间的合作，保持学生英语学习兴趣的持续及敢于开口表达的情感态度，懂得努力使自己成为一个明礼诚信的好少年。
