Language skills:

The students can understand the sentence meaning in the help of pictures.

The students can read and talk about time with friends.

Also the students write down the time according to the picture of clock. Language knowledge: The students can read the wordsknow the meaning of them: o’clock, get up, have lunch, go to bed.

Also the students can say “it’s xx o’clock, get up”

Emotional attitude:

Reasonable arrangement of daily life. Learning strategy: Their cooperative learning skill will be improved when they are doing the group work. Cultural consciousness: Get pupils to understand the school and daily life activities at different time and to inspire students to love life of the good feelings 教学重点、难点:

The students can use the patterns “it’s xx o’clock ,get up/have lunch/ go to bed”

说教法、学法:

1. Audio-lingual Method、Audio-Visual Method、Situational Teaching and game teaching. 2.Cooperative learning, Inquiry learning 教学环节

Step I. : warm up. 1. Greetings 2. Asking and answering some questions. Step II. Presentation. 1. Ask students what time is it?

Provide pictures of clock. 2. Ask students what they are doing at 7 o’clock, 12o’clock, 6o’clock. 教学过程及设计意图

Who is the daughter? /What’s the daughter’s name? 2. Read the conversation together. 3. Role play. One takes the role of May, one takes the role of mother. 5. Play as a clock and let group1 and 2 say what time it is, group 3 and 4 say what to do.

Teacher plays as May. Step IV. production 1. Make a chart to describe what to do at xx o’clock. 2. Role plays according to charts. Help students to make a connection between time and activities.

Get students to use time and phrase. Learn how to use these phrase on their daily life. Step III. Practice. 1.

Listen and answer the question. Understanding the passage’s meaning. Correct students’ pronunciation. 设计意图

Relaxing and review past knowledge of numbers. Arousing students’ interesting.

Help students to understand key words with the help of tools and daily life activities.

Step V. Conclusion Let students read the passage one more time

Make a summary of this class. Step VI. Homework Read an English story book about time. Learn to sing a song of number.
