1. Draw the children’s attention to the pictures in their book. Point to each letters and read the letters. Ask the class to call out the letters clearly. 2. Ask about the begining sound in each word. 3. Repeat with the remaining pictures. 4.Say the chant or play the cassette. Emphasis the rhythm as you can do so.Clapping or actions may help you do this. 5.Teach the children the chant line by line. 6. Repeat the chant 2 or 3 times. Step3 : Practice Math the letters to the pictures. Trace the begining letters and say the words. 1.Point each letter and ask the class to name it . Ask the children what sound does it say? 2. Then point to each picture. The children say the words. 3. Ask the children to match each letter with word that begins with that sound. Explain that there may be more than one word for each letter. 4. Now ask the children to trace the begining letters to complete the words. 5. Finally, ask them to point to an read each word.
