一．教材内容与学情分析

本节课是译林版小学英语五年级上册Unit8 At Christmas第一课时Story time板块。本节课课型属阅读课，故事主要讲述了Mike一家准备和庆祝圣诞节的场景。

通过两年的英语学习，五年级的学生已经具备了一定的英语语言基础，也有了一定的自主学习能力。对于圣诞节这一话题学生也有所了解。本节课教师主要引导学生学习Mike一家庆祝圣诞的活动，并学会运用first,next ,then,finally有条理地描述活动。

二．教学目标：

1、能听懂、会说、会读单词Christmas，first，next，then, finally, buy，present，Christmas tree，Father Christmas，put，pretty，thing，look，Christmas Eve, Christmas，stocking ,wait for，early, turkey ，pudding，all。

2、能听懂、会说、会读句型First/Next/Then/Finally, … . 3、能初步运用First, Next, Then, Finally, …以及buy，put等动词短语复述圣诞节的活动。

4、能通过故事的学习感受圣诞文化，并对西方文化产生兴趣。

三．教学重难点：

1、能听懂、会说、会读单词Christmas，first，next，then, finally, buy， present，Christmas tree，Father Christmas，put，pretty，thing，look，Christmas Eve, Christmas stocking, wait for，early，turkey，pudding，all。

2、能听懂、会说、会读句型First/Next/Then/Finally,…

3、能初步运用First, Next, Then, Finally, …以及buy，put等动词短语复述圣诞节的活动。

媒体课件，学生练习，教学卡片，圣诞老人玩偶及礼物

五．教学过程：

Step 1：Lead-in

1.Play a game:“say and do”

First,stand up. Next,say‘hello’. Then,sit down. Finally,let’s begin. （巧妙地将本课重点单词first,next,then,finally运用于游戏当中，让学生对几个生词有初步了解。）

2.Enjoy some beautiful pictures and guess:What festival is it? (出示圣诞老人玩偶，揭示课题Unit 8 At Christmas) Step 2:Presentation 1.New words: A.know something about Christmas When is Christmas? (通过问题答案引出Christmas Day,Christmas Eve.) B.show pictures about the new words and read them (a Christmas tree, a stocking, present, Father Christmas)

（生词教学运用多种不同教学方式，如：跟读，分组读，接龙读，高低声游戏等等，增强教学效果的同时提高了学生的学习兴趣。）

Students read para.3-4,then underline the phrases of verb. （教师安排学生自主阅读的同时也可让其在小组内互相交流，遇到不理解的句子可以求助老师。）

E.Listen and repeat Students read the text after the recorder.

（阅读前提醒学生注意语音语调以及句中的停顿和重音。）

Step 3:Practice 1.Happy reading: A. Read together B. Read after one student C. Read one by one （学生四人一组选择自己喜欢的方式读课文，老师选择两到三组汇报。）

2.Let’s retell （学生根据板书关键词复述课文,提示学生不必与原文一致。）

4.Enjoy a story about Father Christmas:A busy workday 5.Activity:“Make a wish”

Step 4:Homework 1.Try to know more about western holidays. 2.Share the story of Father Christmas with your friends. 3.Tell your plan to your friends.
