Review
Encourage the students to make dialogs in groups by competition. Eg.
Glad/Nice to meet/see you.
What’s your name?
Where are you from?
How old are you?
Are you in Class One?
Is this a pen?
Do you like English?
Do you have an English book?
Who’s that girl?
Does she have long hair?
Learn the new words and phrases with the help of pictures. E.g.
Family members: parent, father, mother,kid
Jobs: doctor, nurse, (office ) worker, driver, farmer, cook,
have a seat = sit down

I’m glad to see you all. 提供口语表达机会,让学生进行对话训练,复习旧知识,创设英语氛围,也为学习新课做铺垫。
创设学习情景:
通过介绍图片,学习生词。
Step 2. Listening and saying
1. Lead-in: Present a short dialog with the students. Eg.
T: I’m new here. Can you introduce some of your classmates to me.
Ask one or two students to give an example of introduction.
2. Talt the picture in 1a. and summarize.
3. Listen to 1a. and repeat one by one.
4. Listen to the tape again and answer the question:
How does Kangkang introduce his friends to his mother?
5. Discuss the key points:
be home = be at home
have a seat = sit down = take a seat
glad to see you = nice to see you
6. Make more dialogs among the teacher and the students.
