A composition--A formal letter for suggestions Teaching goals: Ss master the writing template. Ss master useful expressions in a suggestion letter. Ss can write suggestion letters according to writing requirements on their own.
Important and difficult teaching points: Help ss realize the difference in expression between Chinese and English when it comes to writng a letter. Insist ss in organising a letter clearly by using linking words. Teaching steps: Step 1. Leading-in In the beginning of the writing lesson,ss watch a short video in which a foreigner feel confused about how to learn Chinese well. Step 2. A brief introduction of a suggestion letter. Step 3.An example letter. Step 4. The structure of a suggestion letter. Step5. Ss study the writing template. Step6.Homework. Ss write a suggestion letter according to the writing requirements.
