Step Ⅰ: Warm-up 1.

Listen and chant. Step Ⅱ: Presentation 1.

Lead-in

Look at the family photo of Xiaoxue’ family, lead the Ss to learn the new words. 2.

Teach the new words to the Ss. Show the picture, teach the new words:

tall, short, big, thin, pretty, handsome.

Ask some Ss to read the words one by one. ②

Ask some Ss to describe their classmates with the new words. 3.

Play games to practice the words. ①

Hit the golden eggs.

Listen and chant. Step: Ⅲ Consolidation 1.

Teach the new sentences to the Ss, make them describe one’s features with some simple sentences. ①

Show Mike and Yaoyao’ s picture, let the Ss listen and read sentences. He is a boy. He is handsome.

She is a girl. She is pretty. ②

Lead the Ss to read the sentences till they can read fluently. ③

Ask some Ss to read the sentences one by one. 2.

Show the other pictures, let the Ss try to describe. 3.

Show the word cards to the Ss, ask one student to make a dialogue, then let the other Ss to say. A: He is a boy. He is tall.

B: She is a girl. She is thin. 4.

Ask the Ss to take their word cards, then practice the sentences in pairs. 5.

Ask some Ss to show in front of the class. Step Ⅳ: Extension 1.

Show some cartoon figures’ pictures, let the Ss describe their features. 2.

Listen and chant. 3.

Ask some volunteers to come to the front, then let the other Ss to describe their features. Step Ⅴ: Homework. 1. Listen and read the words and sentences by following the tape. 2. Try to describe your friends with the new words.

在这节课中，我用了多种方式来试图让学生对所学的内容进行熟练掌握，如用了家有儿女中的人物图片引入主题，在巩固单词的过程中，采用了说单词做动作和砸金蛋的游戏，最后在拓展部分用了许多动画片中的人物图片，所练习的内容也是层层递进，逐渐增加难度，这对于英语程度好的学生能够很好的训练他们的语言表达能力，但是对于一小部分学生，由于老师所拓展的内容较多，有点跟不上，所以对于这样的学生来说，内容少一点，也许还好掌握，在设计教学活动时，要考虑他们的接受程度。
