The analysis of the teaching contents This class mainly talks about the topic of seasons.It is a revision class. Students have known the words and sentences about seasons .It is also related to our daily life .After a period of time , students may forget part of knowledge .So it’s very important

to create some contexts and ask students to finish some tasks to help the students review the knowledge and brainstorm more words about seasons .

The analysis of the students The students in Grade five have learned English for about two years so far. They are active and lovely. They have known some words and some simple sentences about other topics. The topic of seasons which they are familiar with very much.So it’s important to arouse what they have learned and stimulate them to brainstorm more words about seasons in group . III.

Students can review what they have learned such as seasons about “spring, summer, autumn, winter”

and the activity about “go on a picnic,make a snowman,go swimming ,pick apples ” and the other words about “vacation , leaf, paint,pink,lovely,all,fall.”

Students can know and draw the mind-map about the seasons with the help of teachers.

Know the teacher with the help of mind map.The teacher introduce herself using the mind-map from the following parts such as favourite color,favourite weather,favourite clothes and favourite food.Then the teacher leads into the favourite season. step2.Presentation 1.

Firstly, the teacher shows the word of “season”. Then try to break the word.That is “sea” plus “son” into “season”.At the same time ,the teacher sticks the word of “season” on the blackboard. 2.

Secondly, the teacher uses different tasks to help students to recall the four seasons.For example,the teacher uses the riddle to help students recall the word of “spring”and “winter”,the prounciation to recall “autumn”

and the game of arranging the word to recall the word of “summer”. 3.

Thirdly, the teacher shows the four seasons .And ask students to match the words about seasons with the four pictures . 4.

Last,the teacher shows the picture of spring.Using the part of spring to help students to review the words about color,weather,clothes and the activity. Step3. Practice 1.The teacher asks students to draw the rest pictures of “summer,autumn,winter”

in the group .First, six students in a group,one is a leader who is responsible for the group.Second, they should learn to cooperate with each other . Some students brainstorm the vocabularies as much as possible,while other students should design the pictures of the mind-map according to the words. Third,the leader should show the mind-map and make a report in front of class.

2.Then the leader who shows the mind-map should stick the mind-map on the blackboard.Other students can give a comment or suggestion about the mind-map. 3.Let’s write.The teacher leads students to write their favourite season and reasons according to the mind -map on the blackboard. Step4.Production 1.

The teacher introduces the new friends bunny of teacher’s to students.Then leads the students to read the picture book with the questions . 2.

First reading ,the students should read the picture book very quickly and know the main contents of this picture book . 3.

Second reading ,the students should read the picture book very carefully and find the key words of each part . 4.

Third reading ,the students should try to draw a mind-map to list the contents of the picture book in the group. 5.

The teacher asks the leader to show the mind-map .The leader shares their ideas with all the students,the other students can give some comments in order to give a more excellent mind-map next class. Step5.Sum-up 1.

The teacher asks students to sum up what we have learned this class while the teacher should give some supplements. 2.

The teacher shows the video about the “Four seasons of love”.Then the teacher helps the students to know the change of seasons and recognize that our life is like the seasons .So we should love our life and treasure everything what we have now . Step6.Homework
