I. Warm up Teacher elicits the topic by showing pictures to students and tell them the background information of the story. II. Lean in 1. Students listen to the tape of the song “The phantom of the Opera”.

2. Students finish RA and learn what makes up an opera. III. Skimming and Scanning 1. Students skim the text and finish RB. 2. Students scan the text and finish RC. IV. Read and think 1. Students recognize the topics of paragraphs in a story. 2. Students arrange the sentences about the story given in the correct order. V. Assignment Finish Ex A&C on P1&3 in Sts’ workbook.
