教学目标

一、知识与技能

1.能理解日记中描述小猫生长过程的句子。

2.能说出小猫生长变化的时间。

3.能正确使用be动词、to have句型、can句型来描述动物的变化。

4.通过观察,能简单描述小动物,以达到学以致用的目的。

二、过程与方法

教师通过歌曲导入新课,激发学生的兴趣,继而逐步引导他们进行阅读。

三、情感、态度与价值观

通过听力来培养学生细心和耐心的学习品质并培养学生合作学习的精神。

教学重点

能理解They still can’t see. Their eyes are open/ They can walk/play with Robin!They are pink because they are very young. They have white fur now. They make noise when they are hungry.等句子。

教学难点

能抓住对比句子来理解动物的生长过程。

教法导航

教师可以引导学生看图片,并进行讨论。并鼓励学生分角色表演故事。

学生可以根据教师的安排,进行角色扮演,通过扮演角色来体验其中的意义。

教学准备

多媒体课件,录音机,磁带,故事的教学挂图,学生活动手册等。

教学过程

1. Warm-up (热身及预习展示)

(1)Sing the song When is your birthday?

(2)翻唱《When is your birthday?》教师将歌曲中的生日日期加以改动,然后让学生齐唱。

(3)Let's play 一气呵成:12个人为一组,按1~12月份的顺序进行口语交流。活动方式:第一个问第二个,第二个回答完问第三个,以此类推,一气呵成。将第一个生日日期设定为一月一日;第二个为二月二日;第三个为三月三日,以此类推。如:

S1: My birthday is on January lst. When is your birthday?

S2: It's on February 2nd. When is your birthday?

S3: I t’s on March 3rd. When is your birthday?

S4: I t’s on April 4th. When is your birthday?

S5: I t’s on May 5th. When is your birthday?

2. Presentation and practice(精讲点拨)

(1)Read and write

教师介绍Sarah’s diary。

T: Today I'll introduce Sarah’s diary. She has two new kittens. They are small cats. What color are the kittens on April 15th? How old are the kittens on April 21st? When can they walk?

When are their eyes open? Let's read the diary.

学生阅读理解并回答问题。

请学生阅读日记,然后选择最佳答案。

教师介绍the kittens。

在学生回答的基础上,教师做介绍:

The kittens are pink on April 15th.

The kittens ca n’t see on April 15th.

The kittens can’t walk on April 15th.

The kittens have white fur on April 21st.

The kittens’ eyes are open on April 26th.

The kittens can walk on May 3rd.

The kittens can play with Robin on May 3rd.

教师边介绍边将对比的句子呈现在黑板上。学生一边阅读一边理解这些句子。

教师讲解语言难点,然后请学生逐句跟读。

①They make noise when they are hungry. 当它们饿时,会发出吵闹声。

②The kittens are six days old. 小猫才出生6天。

教师播放录音,学生听,再一次帮助学生理解日记。

请学生用be动词、情态动词can和to have句型来描述动物。如:I have a new cat. It’s six months old. He can walk and play with me. He has white fur. He’s cute.

(2)Read and match.

请学生独立完成Read and match部分的连绒练习,同桌核对后,全班同学共同核对。

(3)Now write two sentences about the kittens.

请学生模仿教材例句写一写有关小猫的句子。如:

Their eyes are open on April 26th.

They can walk on May 3rd. They can play with Robin on May 3rd.

(4)Story time

教师播放Story time部分的录像,请学生四人一组讨论:为什么Zoom一直拒绝别人的邀请?引导学生理解:1 want to practice the song的中文意思。

在学生阅读的基础上,请学生回答问题,并解释Zoom要练习唱歌的原因。

讲解短语Don’t worry和Practice makes perfect的中文意思。

教师播放Story time录音,学生跟读三遍。

(5)活动:演一演,说一说。

请学生戴上Zoom和Zip面具,分别扮演Zoom和Zip角色。注意提醒学生模仿Zoom

和Zip的声音及形态,看谁表演得逼真、语言模仿得到位。

3. Consolidation and extension(拓展延伸)

(1)Let's wrap it up

学生完成Fill in the table.部分的练习,然后核对答案。教师强调数词和序数词的不同用法。数词用来表示数量,而序数词用来表示日期等。

(2)Let's check

学生完成Listen and number.部分的练习,要求学生认真听,并对下面四个时间进行标号。

4. Sum-up(总结)

教师让学生总结本节课的重点词汇和句型。

课堂作业

1.完成Read and write部分的配套练习。

2.向同学描述一下你领养的QQ宠物。
