新课导入

The teacher prepares a pen, a ruler, a bag, a cup, an apple, a book and other things for today's guessing game.Play a guessing game using the following sentences：

Is the...Tom's? Is the ...hers or his? Whose...is this? 设计意图：以游戏的方式复习巩固学过的句型，激发学生的学习热情，同时为新课的学习作铺垫。

学习活动1、2 1．让学生浏览活动1的图片，了解图片内容。

2．让学生大声朗读活动1方框中的单词和短语，明确其意思。

3．让学生用方框中的单词和短语完成句子，教师核对答案。

4．让学生浏览活动2的短文及课文后的小贴士Learning to learn，掌握其大意，勾画出其中的生词、重要短语及难句。教师对课文中的重难点进行讲解，在讲解过程中教师可以请学生起来翻译重难句。

5．让学生精读短文，回答活动2的问题，教师核对答案并讲解Learning to learn的内容。

6．要点点拨。

(1)People often lose things when they're travelling or when they're in a hurry.

① lose 及物动词，意为“丢失，失去”，其过去式和过去分词均为lost。常用搭配：lose one's life丢掉某人的生命；lose job 失业。

②

when 意为“当……时候”，引导时间状语从句。例：I often help my brother do his homework when I'm at home.我在家的时候，常常帮助我弟弟做家庭作业。

③ in a hurry 意为“匆匆忙忙”。在此短语中hurry为名词。例：She often goes to school in a hurry.她经常匆匆忙忙地去上学。

(2)That's why there are lost and found offices at airports and stations. That's why...意为“那就是……的原因”。此处why引导表语从句。例：They lost their money, and that's why they are sad.他们把钱丢了，那就是他们伤心的原因。

7．学以致用。(根据汉语意思完成句子，一空一词) (1)现在是早上七点半。汤姆正匆匆忙忙地骑着自行车去学校。
