2. 教师和学生都准备一张年历或月历

3. 收集一些与生日有关的物品和活动图片

教学过程：

A. Warming up 1. Greetings 2. Free talk What day is it today? What do you usually do on Saturday / Sunday? …

B. Presentation and practice 1. 多媒体呈现与生日相关的一些物品和活动图片以及一张日历，师生进行问答活动，引出本单元的话题

T: What’s this?

Ss: It’s a birthday cake.

T: Right. Look at this picture. What are they doing? Ss: They are having a birthday party. T: My birthday is in May. When’s your birthday?

S1: My birthday is in October. T:What about you? S2: My birthday is in March.

T: （手指日历）My birthday is on the second of May. Which day does your birthday come on? S1: （手指十月的其中一个日期）

T: It’s on the …th of October. What about you?

S2: （手指三月的其中一个日期）

T: It’s on the …th of March.

2. 复习基数词，学习序数词

1）学生分成三组，要求他们在黑板上分别写出1---10，11---20和21---30 2) 请学生写出序数词1—3：first, second, third 3) 师生就教室等学校设施所在的楼层进行问答，复习序数词的用法

T: Where’s the computer room / canteen /library /music room?

Ss: It’s on the … floor.

3. 对比呈现，学习序数词

教师在学生写出的基数词后面添加序数词，引导学生观察序数词的构成，发现规律。

4. 小组问答活动，操练序数词

学生四人一组，互相问答生日，操练序数词

S1: When’s your birthday? S2: It’s on the …th of … What about you?

S3: My birthday is on the …..

…

5. 学习目标词汇

1）引导学生说说与生日庆祝活动有关的单词或词组，教师适当拓展：

Birthday cake, candle, present, birthday party, balloon, noodles, egg, make a wish, wear a crown, get together with family and friends, have a big dinner, go to the cinema,…

2) 师生问答，讨论人们庆祝生日的方式

T: How do people celebrate their birthday? S1: They eat a birthday cake. S2: They buy presents. S3: They have a party. …

C. Story time 1. 出示课文插图，引导学生观察，说说Su Hai和Mike是怎样过生日的，

有什么相同和不同之处。

2. 听录音，理解课文大意

1）呈现问题：

When is Su Hai and Su Yang’s birthday?

What do they usually do on their birthday? What do they eat on their birthday? Who is Kitty?

When is Mike’s birthday?

What does Mike always do on his birthday? What does Mike buy on his birthday? 2) 学生带着问题听录音

3）学生回答问题

3. 学生独立阅读课文，获取关键信息，填入表格
