2. 能理解和初步运用句型：When’s your birthday?、It’s on …、What do you do on your birthday?、I usually …。

3. 能初步感知序数词的构成和用法。

能力目标：

1. 学生能够阅读并理解故事。

2. 学生能够在理解的基础上有感情地朗读并合作表演故事。

情感目标：

让学生体会到阅读故事的乐趣，培养学生阅读的兴趣。

Step 1 Lead-in 1. Play a game(复习节日，导入课题) Step 2 New teaching 1. When you see the word “birthday”, what will you connect in the mind?

S1: Noodles. S2: Birthday cakes. S3: A big dinner. S4: Presents. S5: Party. T: I think you always have a good time on your birthday. 【设计意图：用已有的知识唤起学生对生日的记忆，为导入课文做铺垫。】

2. T: Look, Miss Li, Su Hai and Mike are talking about birthdays too. Do you have any questions?(what when how) 3.T:With your questions,let’s look at SuYang and SuHai’s birthday. Listen to the tape and answer the question:

When’s SuYang and SuHai’s birthday?

S: Su Hai’s birthday is on the 11th of May. 【设计意图：激发学生认真听，调动学生学习故事的积极性。】

Look and read T: Just now, we know the date of their birthday. What do they do on their birthdays? Please look and say. T:How do they feel? 4.
