Lesson19 Christmas Is Coming! 主备人:周梅玲

一、教学目标：

1、语言知识：

（1）通过本课学习，学生能听、说、读、写并灵活运用holiday、Christmas tree、Christmas lights、Santa、song等词汇

（2）能听懂并说出：Merry Christmas ! I have fun together 等句子。

2、语言技能：

用所学的单词和句子在真实的场合下交际。

3、情感态度：

通过营造真实的情境等多种活动，调动学生学习英语的兴趣，学生乐于开口说英语增强其学好英语的自信心。

4、文化意识：

了解中西方节日的文化差异，并在学习中学会用礼貌、得体的语言与人交谈。了解西方人过圣诞节的一些文化习俗以及相关的文化背景知识

5、学习策略：

学生在学习中能集中注意力，积极运用所学英语进行表达和交流，谈论有关圣诞节的简单话题，能注意观察生活中使用的简单英语。

二、教学重难点：

教学重点：学生能听、说、读、写下列词汇holiday、Christmas tree、Christmas lights、Santa、song。

教学难点：学生能理解课文内容，能够用英语向他人介绍圣诞节。

三、教学准备：

多媒体课件、圣诞帽子、圣诞树、圣诞礼物等卡片

四。教学过程：

Step 1

Greeting T：Good moring,class.

How is the weather today? What day is today? What’s the date today? 【设计意图】以师生间的自然问候导入使师生都能以良好的精神状态投入到英语学习的氛围之中。

【设计意图】通过提问的形式复习了学生之前已经学过的许多节日名称，又渗透了本课的重点词汇holiday，为引出本次课所要学习的西方重要节日----圣诞节做好铺垫。

New Concepts 1. Introduce “Christmas”

圣诞节

Christmas is Western holiday.

2. Introduce “Christmas tree、Christmas lights” with pictures. T : Look ! What’s this ? (指着圣诞树的图片提问) Ss: It’s a Christmas tree(领读,跟读) T : What are these? Ss : Christmas lights and Christmas gifts(领读,跟读) 设计意图：用动态的图片来教学，加深学生印象，注意力集中，保持对英语的学习兴趣。

3.Introduce

“Santa ”

with a picture. T : Look ! Who is he? Ss : He is Santa. He is a merry man in red clothes.( 跟读) T : Do you love Santa? Why? C : Yes . Santa brings gifts for us . (板书、领读) T : Good! For example : toy cars , toy bikes , sweets , dolls , Santa puts the gifts in the stockings.

4. Introduce, What do we do on Christmas? We invite our family and friends to our house. Our family and friends bring gifts for us. We give our family and friends gifts, too. We sing Christmas songs. We have fun together.(学生跟读，齐读) 设计意图：学生在平时生活中已经受到西方传统节日影响，他们对于自己喜欢的话题乐于开口说。学生通过课件深入了解西方节日文化。

5. Introduce “Christmas song ”use real songs

6.Listening Listen to the tape ,then ask the students to read the text together. 设计意图：通过听，读课文，加深学生对课文的进一步理解。

Q6 : What colour are Santa’s clothes ? Ask some students to answer the questions in pairs .
