The key sentence structures. Teaching difficult points: Describe others’ actions and jobs. Teaching procedures: Step one: Warming up 1.

Teacher shows a video about family. Lead in the topic of unit 5-family. T:How many family members do you have? S:Three/Four/Five…

T:Who are they? S:My father ,mother, sister, brother…

2.Teacher shows a family tree of Jenny ‘s family. T:This is Jenny ‘s family, can you see how many family members does she have? Who are they? S:Five.Her father ,mother, sister, brother…

T:Wow, that is a very big family right? So we can call Jenny ‘s family…

S:Mr. Smith T: Jenny ‘s mother…

S:Mrs. Smith Lead in the Smith family. Step two: while reading 1.

Ask students to describe the relationship among Jenny ‘s family members. 2.

Listen to the radio and read part one together. 3.

Students will have two minutes to remember this part. 4.

Ask one student to try to recite according to the teacher’s action. 5.

Read part two together and answer some questions about “What does /do sb. do? ”

Work in groups and ask their family members’ job. 7.

Students read after the teacher and answer some questions about “What is/are sb. Doing?”

Present teacher’s family members and introduce her family. 5.
