Unit3 Language in use Analysis of the Teaching Materials 本课处于七年级下第8模块第三课时，本节课型为Revision and application。本单元的Grade 7 活动和任务涉及了更多童话故事，包含了中国的神话故事《精卫填海》，从而让学生在学习西方童话的同时也有机会阅读中国童话，帮助他们了解中国传统文化，并有意思地通过童话故事比较中西文化的差异。

Analysis of the Students 教学对象是七年级的学生，在前面的学习中已经学习了一般过去时的基本知识，包括其构成、各种句式以及动词过去式的变化规则，但是没有形成系统的知识脉络，应用一般过去时进行表达的能力也有待提高。因而，在教学中需要帮助其总结概括，最终达成正确使用一般过去时来表达的目的。学生们求知欲强，想象力丰富，特别喜欢竞争和挑战。因此，在教学中，教师会通过一系列小组活动、竞赛活动等，给学生充分的发挥空间，鼓励他们都参与其中。在活动中，其认知策略、调控以及交际策略均会得到发展与提高。

1.语言知识目标

（1）巩固U1与U2中出现的重点词汇与词组

（2）能够提供信息，表述已经发生的的行为

（3）能够用一般过去时讲故事

2.语言技能目标

（1）听：能听懂简单的故事，了解主要人物和故事梗概

（2）说：能用一些规则动词的过去式叙述过去的事情

（3）读：能读懂简单的故事，明白其中的主要人物和事件以及情节的先后顺序

（4）写：能用一些规则动词的过去式对故事情节进行描述

3.学习策略目标

（1）自学策略：能尝试阅读一些简写的英文童话故事

（2）合作学习策略：注意从他人的演示中汲取知识

4.情感与态度目标

通过阅读童话故事提高对英语的学习兴趣，感受学英语的乐趣

5.文化意识：

通过童话故事了解中西方在文化上的差异。

Step 1: Lead-in: 1.

Play the video of 《哆啦A梦》

and lead in this class with “ Time Machine”

Ask Ss what can we do with the time machine?

Step 2:

Ask Ss Qs like what did you/he/she do yesterday? & Did he/she...? 2.

Ask the Ss to ask and answer in pairs.

Step 3:

Play a word game to review the verbs in simple past tense. 2.

Review the rules on how to add -ed

to the end of verbs 3.

Finish exercise 2 on page 52.

Step 4:

Give Ss six pictures with words on the story of Godilocks and Three Bears. Lead the Ss to review and tell stories. 2.

通过小组比拼和单词游戏的形式帮助学生复习规则动词一般过去式变化，并通过选词填空进行运用练习。同时为西面的讲故事环节做铺垫

利用课本上学过的故事及内容来复习强化一般过去时。同时对如何讲故事及注意事项进行总结，为下面讲述《精卫填海》故事做知识迁移铺垫。

Step 5:

Give a group of pictures on the story of JingWei decided to fill up the sea. Ask the Ss make serntences with the given words and then tell the story with the sentences.

Step 6: Summary: Sum up the simple past tense and something about differences between Chinese and western stories.

Step 7: Homework

Finish writing the story. Try to use words like and, so, but, because, first, next, then and finally.（必做）

2.

Thinking about the moral（寓意）of the story.（选做）

Show the sentences and story to the class.

Review the simple past tence as well as the process of telling a story.

Finish the homework accordingly. 小组合作的形式，加强同学之间的合作。同时通过将词变为句子，最终将再将句子串联为故事的形式，帮助学生强化所学内容
