Unit 3 Look at this elephant 教案

一、教学目标

(一)语言目标:

1. 词汇:能听懂、会说、认读新单词funny,mouse,small,strong。

2. 句型:能用“Look at...”句型指认动物,并用“It’s...”描述动物特征。

(二)应用目标:

1. 指认动物名称。

2. 向同伴描述动物的特征。

3. 能听懂、会说A部分的对话。

二、教学重难点

1. 重点:能听懂、会说、认读新单词funny,mouse,small,strong,并能用“It’s...”描述动物特征。

2. 难点:单词“strong”的发音。要引导学生观察口型,仔细听,模仿着读。

三、教学准备

动物头饰、教学视频、多媒体课件

四、教学过程

Step 1. Warm-up/Revision 1. Greetings T: Class begins. Ss: Stand up. T: Good morning, boys and girls. Ss: Good morning, Miss Xiao. T: How are you? Ss: I’m fine. Thank you. And you? T: I’m fine, too. Sit down, please. Ss: Thank you. 2. Revision T: Look at this picture. What’s this? Ss: It’s a circle. T: Now, we have many circles. T: What’s this? Ss: It’s a square. T: Now, we have this. Guess. What is it? Ss: I don’t know. T: What’s this? Ss: It’s a triangle. T: Now, we have this. Guess. What is it? Ss: It’s a tiger.

T: Very good. Tiger. What are these? Ss: These are dots. T: Now we have a little tiger.

Step 2. Presentation T: Do you like tiger? Ss: Yes./No. T: Where can we see it? Ss: In the zoo. T: Great! Now, follow me! Let’s go to the zoo. T: What can you see in the zoo? Ss: (Elephants, hippos, giraffe, birds and so on) T: Let’s watch a video. And tell me what do they see in the zoo? Ss: (Elephant, tiger, bird, monkey)

Words: write them on the blackboard and lead the Ss to learn and read them. T: Read after me. Elephant. Ss: Elephant. T: Elephant, elephant. Ss: Elephant, elephant.

(Then lead them to read tiger, bird, monkey.)

2. Sentence: “Look at”

“It’s …”. Listen and choose. T: Now, let’s listen and choose the right picture. ……

T: Which elephant? Ss: B. T: Yes. Look at this elephant. It’s big! T: Read after me. “Look at this elephant. It’s big!”

Ss: Look at this elephant. It’s big! (repeat……)

Step 3 Practice 1. Game: listen and act T: I’d like to ask some students to act. Who wants to have a try? Hands up! Ss: (Hands up) T: Stand here. And listen carefully. Then act the right animal. OK? T: The rest students look at the screen and read
