[教材分析]：

本模块的话题是克隆，本节课的话题是一部科幻小说《Brave New World》。该节课的内容是Cultural Corner，该内容是一本由一位多产的英国作家Aldous Huxley在1931年创作的一篇著名长篇科幻小说《美丽新世界》“Brave New World”,文章主要就描述了随着人类科技文明，在六百年后的未来，有一个叫做世界政府的组织控制着整个世界的克隆人和人类，其中就特别提到了运用了一些方法去控制世界，包括利用克隆技术针对性的繁衍出不同等级的后代，从幼儿开始对其进行洗脑和让人们服用一种药物，使其情绪稳定，对现有生活感到满足和开心，不去试图改变本已被安排好的社会。通过对这部小说的学习培养学生的阅读能力。

[学情分析]：

这次授课的对象是高二的学生。虽经过两年高中阶段的英语学习，他们应具备良好的阅读技巧，能够较好的把握文章的大意和细节。但由于处于偏远山区，学生的英语基础不好，在阅读理解方面，学生彻底读懂一篇文章有一定的难度。

教学内容：阅读《Brave New World》并对比另一种新世界,谈自己更喜欢哪种未来世界。

[Teaching aims]: 通过阅读了解文章细节内容对文章进行理解和加工，提高学生的阅读理解能力。并通过与文章相反的未来遐想，开展话题讨论并能流利的表达自己的观点和原因。通过讨论和互评培养学生合作意识及提高学生自主学习的能力。

[Teaching key points]: 1) 理解文章的大意和观点;2) 帮助学生探讨两种不同未来世界的。
