Teaching procedures: Step one: Warm-up 1.Greetings: Hello/Hi/Good morning. Today,I’ll divide you into 2 groups, and we will have a match. Now you are giraffe group, you are monkey group. Are you ready? Let’s begin our class.

Bird. Bird. Act like a bird. Duck. Duck. Act like a duck. Panda. Panda. Act like a panda. Tiger. Tiger. Act like a tiger. Monkey. Monkey. Act like a monkey. Step two: Presentation Let’s learn:

Ss: Yes.

T: Let’s go to the zoo and see the animals.

T shows a picture of the zoo and says: There are many animals. What animals can you see here? Ss: Monkey, elephant, bear,...giraffe. 2.

T shows a picture of a giraffe and asks: Look at that giraffe.It’s... Lead the Ss to learn the word : tall. Then, show another picture and say: Look at that baby giraffe. It’s short. Repeat after me: short---tall. It’s short./ It’s tall.

T: Look at these words(dad, cat, bag ). Can you read them? T writes down the word fat and asks: How to read? Make up a sentence and ask the Ss to read: Dad has a fat cat in the bag. Ask the Ss to pay attention to the pronunciation of the red letters above. Then, lead the Ss to learn the words
