一、教学内容：

译林英语五年级上册Unit 7 At weekends Story time 二、教学目标：

（一）知识目标：

1. 学生能听懂，会说，会读词汇和动词短语：chat on the Internet, fly a kite, go to the cinema, have a picnic, visit grandparents, at weekends, usually, often, always, sometimes等。

2. 能在情境中整体感知对话内容，并能清楚地知道每个人的周末活动。

3. 能体会四个频率副词always, usually, often, sometimes表达的含义并初步运用。

（二）能力目标: 1. 能大声流利地朗读课文。

2. 能尝试复述表演课文中每个人的周末活动。

情感目标：

引导学生合理安排自己的周末生活。

三、教学重点：

2. 能用英语表述文中人物的周末生活。

五、教学流程：

Step 1: Presentation 1. T：

Today we are going to talk about what we do at weekends. (揭题) (PPT) A calendar From Monday to Friday, we go to school, we call them weekdays. We don’t go to school on Saturdays and Sundays, we call them weekends. Learn: at weekends 2. T: What do you do at weekends? (PPT) A lot of pictures of activities Ss: I … at weekends.

3. T: I know something about your weekends. Can you guess about mine? You can ask me: Do you… at weekends?

And you can also guess like I think you… or maybe you… at weekends.

Ss: Do you … at weekends? / I think you… at weekends. / Maybe you… at weekends.

4. T: Let me tell you about my weekends. I visit my parents, play with my son, go to the cinema and chat with my friends at weekends. ( 边说边板书词组并画出柱形图表示频率高低) T: Look! I play with my son every weekends. So I can say I always play with my son. (板书always) I visit my parents if they are free. A little bit less than always .So I can say I usually visit my parents.（板书usually）What about these two? (指柱形图，引导学生回答often和sometimes，教师板书。) 5. Can you try to use the four words to talk about your weekends? (Students try to use always, usually, often and sometimes to talk about weekends) Step 2: Story time 1. We talked a lot about our weekends. What about theirs? Who are they?

(PPT)Mike and Su Hai. 2. Watch and choose: What are they talking about? 3. Read and circle the key words: What do they do at weekends? 4. Finish the mind map with the key words and check the answers. When talking about Helen’s weekend activities, pay attention to the relationship between Mike and her. Mike often goes to the park with his family and has a picnic and flies a kite there.
