一、教材分析：

本课是六年级第四单元开篇的第一课。教学内容是关于Christmas的话题教学，涉及西方节日相关的常识和文化。本课让学生初步了解有关Christmas的一些活动及西方过节的一些习俗。

二、学生分析：

六年级的学生是高年级学生，孩子们对英语学习的兴趣依然保持，也很渴望英语课中有游戏，有一个轻松、融洽的课堂氛围。六年级的学生有一定的语言学习基础和学习能力，是需要形成良好的学习策略的一个年级。

三、教学目标：

1.学习单词Christmas,western,holiday,bring,give

2.熟练运用句子We invite our family and friends to our house. They bring gifts for us. We give our family and friends gifts,too. We sing Christmas songs. We have fun together. 3.通过课文让学生了解西方节日的文化。
