五年级英语下册Unit 4 When is Easter? A Let’s learn典型教案褚鹏晶

教学目标:

1. 能够听、说、读、写序数词:first(1st), second(2nd), third(3rd), fourth(4th), fifth(5th).

2. 初步了解各序数词的用法及在句子中的读法、写法.

3. 让学生能说出一些关于序数词的规律。

教学重难点:

1.words:first(1st), second(2nd), third(3rd), fourth(4th), fifth(5th).的学习。

2.sentences:When is the sports meet? It’s on April 4th..的学习。

课前准备:单词卡片,多媒体课件,录音,碟片

教学过程:

Step 1.Review

1)Greetings: sing a song together.

2)Revision:Go over the old words: Monday- Wednesday January, February, March, April, May,June,

T:What day is it today? Ss: Today is Monday/ Wednesday.

T: When is your birthday? Ss: It’s in July.......

〔设计意图〕:歌谣既激活了已有的知识,又活跃课堂气氛。复习有关月份单词为本课学习序数词作铺垫。

Step 2. New Lesson

一、1)板书:“Unit 4When is Easter?”并教读.

2)出示课件,12个月并说出相关节日所在的月份。

T: Do you know how many months are there in a year? Ss: twelve .

T: Yes, there are twelve months in a year .and we know January is the first month in a year. 让学生理解first 的意思,教师板书,带读此单词,并拼写该词。在first 旁边写上1st .告诉学生这是first 的缩写形式。

T: Do you know when is Easter? Ss: It’s usually in April…….

T: Do you know when is April Fool’s Day? Ss: 4.1

T: Do you know how to say 4.1 in English?

同方法教学second 到fifth 同时写出相应的基数词,让学生认真观察,自己归纳总结从基数词到序数词的形变规律。

二、1)课件呈现四月份日历,并告诉学生:There are some special days in

April .Look !April Fool’s Day and Ester.教师边说边圈出四月一日和四月五日这两天。然后教师提问:This is the first day of April.April Fool’s Day is on April 1st.How about Easter? Can you tell me? 引导学生回答:It’s on April 5th.然后学生跟读板书。

2) Learn the new words:first(1st), second(2nd), third(3rd), fourth(4th), fifth(5th)

T:first .first Spell it please. S:Read after teacher and spell the word. (类似方法教读单词)

3)T: Make a sentence: first .first April Fool’s Day is on April 1st.. S:Read after teacher

(同样的方法巩固其他单, My birthday is on May 2nd. 明确告知学生在月份的第几日要用序数词,读时前面要加上定冠”the”, 同时在某月某日前要用介词on)。

4)基数词变序数词口诀:一二三,特殊变,八去t,九去e,ve用f来替换,最后再加th。整十去y改ie,然后再加th.

5)序数词的缩写形式是:阿拉伯数字+序数词词尾的后两个字母。

6)教师说:The first month ,学生快速反应:January。教师说:February ,学生说:The second month .依次操练。

三、1)师生互译序数词、基数词及短语singing contest, maths test school trip , English test。

2)句子操练:T: When is your birthday? Ss : It’s on Oct 2nd.

T: When is singing contest?.... Ss: It’s on Jul. 1st….

3)Listen to the tape and read after it.

〔设计意图〕:由询问复活节引出序数词,过渡自然,图文结合。在真实情景中进行自由交流。

Step 3.合作交流:

1)小组合作:Ask and answer:(灵活运用今天所学单词和句型)

S: on April 4th.

〔设计意图〕:让学生在较真实的情景中表演对话,使用所学语言进行交流,培养学生运用英语的能力,发展学生用英语解决实际问题的能力。

Step4.达标检测

Step5.布置当堂作业1.完成first(1st),…, fifth(5th)在四线三格上的写法。

2.说一句今天才学会最感兴趣的句子。
