教学设计说明

1. 教材分析：

本节课课题是牛津教材S1B Unit3的Reading: “The interesting world of plants”。

本篇课文为一部自然风光片的脚本，文章长度适中，并且结构清晰，全文分为四段，逐段介绍王莲、荷花、榕树和银杏树的有趣之处。本节课的教学内容是第一课时，教师引领学生认识些自然界常见的植物，并把学生带入更为有趣的植物世界，进而培养学生热爱大自然，保护大自然一草一木的意识。

2. 学情分析：

授课对象为高一学生，学生们经过了一个学期的高中英语学习，对各知识板

块有了一定的掌握，但英语的综合运用能力欠佳；部分学生思维活跃，积极主动，但也有些许同学对英语学习缺乏兴趣，希望通过本课的学习，在增加学生知识的同时，也激发学生们学习英语的兴趣。

3. 教学过程分析：

本节课是第一课时，中心任务是引领学生认识些自然界常见的植物，并把学生带入课文Reading 部分介绍的更为有趣的植物世界。

为将学生带入这一话题，在导入部分：教师首先给他们一个单词Narcissus，让他们猜这个单词的意思，接下配带图片来给同学讲这个关于Narcissus 的希腊故事，接着导出由这个单词转出的另一种含义：一种植物名（水仙花），从而吸引学生们的眼球，引出本课话题—植物；然后把学生以组为单位分成四组，做个小竞赛，看哪个小组知道的植物英文名最多（同时给学生展示植物图片），进一步激发学生对此话题的兴趣。

课文理解部分，先让学生独立阅读整篇文章，划出文中出现的植物名称，再帮助学生正确读出这些植物名；接下来，安排一个Pair work，让学生进一步了解课文，分别找出这四种植物的有趣点（此部分为课文理解部分的重点和难点所在）。然后是一个学生作品展示部分（课前给学生任务：至少找出一种自然界中有趣的植物，并制作成演示文稿），选择两份比较好的作品供分享，并同时让学生自己来给同学们做介绍；再接下来，给学生播放一段视频，讲的是两种非常特殊的食虫植物（the Venus-fly Trap和Monkey Cup）捕食的全过程，并同时给予学生两个问题供思考，从而把学生带入一个更为全面的有趣植物世界。

拓展部分，给出一个讨论：Are plants important? Why? 学生可以自由说出自己的想法。与此同时，老师把学生的想法提列出来供参考。

最后，通过一个填空的简单练习，总结概括这节课的内容，并让学生课后去访问两个网站，了解更多关于植物的知识，也培养学生对大自然的关爱情怀。
