1. 能听懂、会读、会说单词：meat, potatoes, tomatoes, vegetables, look for, love。

2. 能听懂、会读、会说现在进行时态的疑问句：Are you doing …、Yes, I am./No, I’m not.、How is the meat/soup/…?及正确回答。

3. 能正确理解并朗读课文，在教师的引导下尝试复述课文内容。

4. 能初步运用本课所学的词汇和句型询问别人正在做的事情。

教学重点：

1. 在听故事的过程中理解词汇及句型: Are you doing …?、Yes, I am./No, I’m not.、How is the meat/soup/…?及正确回答。

2. 能够从整体到局部理解故事内容。

3. 能正确理解并朗读课文，在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。

教学难点：

1. 菜名的朗读是本课词汇的难点，教师可以通过多样的图片让学生感知后学习。

2. 现在进行时一般疑问句的准确掌握。

Step 1 Lead-in 1.课前欣赏歌曲《Vegetables》

T: What is the song about? (出示歌曲中蔬菜图片，引出vegetables，初步感知本课词汇) 2.学习单词tomato和potato。

T: Now I have some riddles about vegetables. Let’s guess. S：All right. T: It has a red round face, it is sour, and it likes an apple. What is it? S: It’s a --- 1

T: Yes, you’re right. It’s a tomato.(教授) 教师在学生回答结束后出示单词,并呈现其复数形式。

T：Now, let’s go on. It is round and brown, it grows under the ground. What is it?

S: It’s a --- T: Yes, you’re right. It’s a potato. (教授) 教师在学生回答结束后出示单词,并呈现其复数形式。

3.学习词组meat with potatoes和tomato soup T: Tomatoes and potatoes are vegetables.（教授vegetables）

Vegetables are good for us. We eat them every day. And we can cook nice food with them. Look, what dish is it? Meat with potatoes(土豆烧肉), and tomato soup (番茄汤). 出示短语，新授。

T: How do they look?

S: Nice! T: Yes. They look nice. They are yummy, too. My mouth is watering. (教师做动作引导学生理解yummy) 4.导入课题

T:Where do we cook them? S: In the kitchen. T: Yes . Today we’ll learn Unit 6 In the kitchen. 引出课题并带读。

T: Look, Who’s in the kitchen? (板书：Liu Tao, Mr Liu ,Mrs Liu) What are they doing? They are cooking in the kitchen. What are they cooking? Let’s watch the cartoon of Unit 6 In the kitchen.

Step 2 Presentation and practice 1. 整体感知故事内容

(1) Watch and tick. What are Liu Tao’s parents cooking? A. meat with potatoes

(2) Who is cooking meat with potatoes? Who wants to cook tomato soup?

Mrs Liu wants to cook tomato soup. (板书：cook tomato soup) 【设计意图：通过看动画整体感知语篇，说说菜名，初步感知现在进行时一般疑问句的句子结构。】

2. 整体梳理文本信息，分步骤朗读

Before dinner (1) Read, ask and answer T: We know Liu Tao, Mr Liu, Mrs Liu are in the kitchen.What are they doing before dinner? Read Part 1 and Part 2 by yourselves.

S:

Mr Liu is cooking meat with potatoes. T:How does it smell?(板书：It smells nice.) S:Mrs Liu is washing some vegetables. S:Liu Tao is looking for some juice. T: What does “look for” mean?(泰微课讲解look for和find的区别) T: Liu Tao is looking for some juice in the fridge.

Is there any apple juice? S: No, there’s some orange juice.

T: So, Liu Tao finds some orange juice in the fridge.

T: Now let’s read Part 1 and Part 2 after the tape.
