Unit 5 What do they do?（Story time）

【文本解读】 本节课将围绕着“What do they do?”这一话题来展开对话练习，在Story time中，通过Su Hai和Mike谈论自己家人的职业，从而引入本单元的新词，在对新词的学习上，不能只用单一的记忆让学生记单词，而要通过游戏等让学生感兴趣的方式达到记忆的效果。在课文中还引入本单元的重点句型“What do you do?”“What does your father/ his mother/ her mother do?”“I’m a ...”“He/She is a ...”以及动词用法，并在交际活动中学会运用。这一部分的教学中，教师一定要注意让学生多动口，多给学生提供开口说英语的机会，并且多给予鼓励，让他们对英语学习充满自信。

经过前四个单元的学习，此阶段的学生已为学习第三人称单数做好了准备，本单元的主要教学内容和职业名称内容。学生可以通过What do you do?和What does he/ she do?还其用He/She is a ...的语调和用法的学习，初步与他人交流职业和工作内容，学生可能会在动词形式“s”，“es”have--has中理解上有一定困难，我主张让学生自己验证，自己总结转换的规律，学生通过对职业的了解，树立自己的理想，成为一个有梦想的dreamer. 【目标续写】
