本课是河北教育出版社五年级上册第一单元《A Trip to Beijing》里的第一课《May I Go To Beijing?》。这个单元的主题学习内容是李明、丹尼和詹妮去北京旅行以及他们怎么制定旅行计划。本课主要讲述李明想去北京旅行,他怎样向爸爸妈妈表达意愿以及爸爸妈妈又怎样回答他。要解决的问题不仅有日常生活中常用的词汇和短语,还要让学生在贴近生活的场景中进行会话演示,使学生学会提出请求、表达感情、做成某事。
经过四年的英语学习,学生们已经有了良好的英语学习基础,听说能力都比较强。他们乐于模仿,喜欢参与,英语学习的兴趣浓厚。由于本课内容与学生的生活紧密相关,教学设计了多种教学方法,让学生从不同的活动方式中习得知识,运用知识。
