Teaching objectives
Knowledge aims:
1.To master the singular form and plural form of the fruits.
2.To master the key sentence patterns of buying and selling.
Ability aim:
Be able to buy and sell things in fluent English.
Emotion aim:
Eat healthy food and enjoy healthy life.
Teaching key points and difficult points
1.Key point:
Phrases: an apple, apples, an orange, oranges, a banana, bananas, a pear, pears.
Sentences: How much is it? How much are they?
2.Difficult point:
Make a dialogue with the newly learnt phrases and sentences. Teaching aids
Multi-media, PPT,apples ,oranges,bananas,pears,word cards,magic bag,apron,shopping,prizes,
Teaching procedures
Pre-task procedures
1.Greetings
T: Good morning,boys and girls.
Ss:Good morning...
.....
2.Divide the students into four groups and introduce the rules.
Apple group,orange group,banana group,pear group
3.Play a song for the students(apple tree)
While-task procedures
1.Create a situation, and tell students the title of this lesson“at the fruit shop”
2.Show students a magic bag and introduce the word “apple”to the students.
3.Ask students to come to the blackboard and take out the fruit one by one,and then ask students to guess the fruit by touching, smelling,and tasting. Use this way to teach the words----pears,oranges and bananas.
4.Now ask students to play a game: quick response
5.Listen and say
Play the video for the students.
6.Ask and answer.
One student acts as the shop assistant and he teacher acts as the customer. Elicit the sentences How much is it? How much are they?
Then ask students to do the exercises through the examples of banana, orange and pear.
7.Let's chant.
Show students a chant and ask students to chant together.
Then ask students to chant themselves according to the example.
8.Say and act
Present the ppt for the students and ask students to fill in the blanks.And then ask students to act it out.
9.Shopping time
Ask students to open a fruit shop themselves and then try to buy fruit. Then ask students to come to the blackboard.
Post-task procedures
1.Choose and practice
Give students the exercises and ask them to choose. Then give students several minutes to practice the dialogue.
2.Summarize and Evaluate the students’ performance.
Homework
1.Listen and read the dialogue on page 38.
2.Try to role play the dialogue with your partner.
3.Try to make a shopping dialogue.
