Lead-in

Work in pairs. Ask and answer the questions 1. Which monitor would you like to be for your class? *class monitor *PE monitor *cleaning monitor 2. What do these monitors do? Several groups will be asked to express what they want to be and their reasons for the position. Teaching procedures: The students in our textbook are choosing their new monitors. Let’s read the passage together.

Step1:

First, please read the passage quickly, and find out what Lingling, Tony, and Betty want to be and what they can do. What does he/she want to be? What does he/she can do? Step4: After reading this passage, let’s listen the text.
