Play a brainstorm game. The students say the phrases quickly when they

Look at the pictures and guess : Su Hai and Mike are not at school, Why?

S1: Because they are ill. T: They have to see the doctor.

Watch and answer

Watch a cartoon and answer the teacher’s questions. T: What’s wrong with Su Hai? S1: She has a headache and a fever. The students play the brainstorm game.

Look at the pictures and guess: Why are they not at school? 通过头脑风暴游戏来查看学生的预习的效果,并通过这一环节引入本课题:Unit Seeing the doctor。

通过看图片猜出第一个问题,they are ill.

教学反思:Story time教学应当注重其故事性和文本性。本课教学以任务活动为驱动,首先设计头脑风暴活动检查学生的预习效果。然后让学生观察图片猜测苏海和迈克不在学校的原因。接着,设计问题What’s wrong with Su Hai and Mike?让学生通过观看动画对文本进行整体感知;而后将文本解读细化为Su Hai就医的过程和Mike就医的过程两个部分。针对Su Hai就医的过程,教师设计listen的任务活动,帮助学生理清文本脉络,掌握把握文本关键信息的能力;针对Mike的就医过程,教师设计Read and fill in的任务活动,锻炼学生的阅读并填空的能力。然后,进行文本的复述,配音,表演活动来巩固学生的语言综合能力。然后,给学生观看Pepper Pig的动画,拓展学生学英语用英语的能力。并提出自己的问题,表达自己的见解。旨在鼓励学生依据已有信息主动提问,培养其发散性思维。最后,引导学生要保持健康饮食和多做运动,保持健康。端正学生的态度,增加学生的情感体验。
