教学步骤

Step 1 Warm up

Free talking: Teacher talks with students use the sentences which

have learned before. Divide students in two groups. A is for group one. B is for group two. And tells students if they can do a good job they will get some toys. Which group can get more toys will be the winner of this lesson.

Step 2 Presentation 1.

Review some words and sentences Teacher draws some toys to the students, and asks “What’s this?” Find a student answers. (a car, a plane, a jeep, a bike, a teddy bear, a toy rabbit) Then show more things, ask with sentences “What are these/those? They’re ... Are these/those...? Yes, they are. No, they aren’t.”

Ask and answer

Students ask and answer with the pictures, use the sentences

“What are these/those? They’re ... Are these/those...? Yes, they are. No, they aren’t.”

Step 3 Practice 1.

Learn the new sentence pattern Play a simple dialogue with the CAI. The content of the dialogue is: “What are these/those? They’re ... Are these/those...? Yes, they are. No, they aren’t.” When the students look at the CAI. The teacher writes the key sentence on the blackboard.

2. Let’s chant

What are these? What are these? They’re toy cars. They’re toy cars. Are those toy planes? Are those toy planes? Yes, they are. Yes, they are.

3.Guessing game The big screen shows some things. Find a student guess what the thing is, the other students check. The student can guess with the sentence “Are these/those

…?” If the answer is right, the other students will say “Yes, they are.” If the answer is wrong, other students will say “No, they aren’t.” And the student must guess again until he can give the right answer.

4. Practice the key sentence patterns with desk mates and then with

group mates.

5. Group work show.

Step 4 Consolidation 1.Make a new dialogue The teacher finds a student to make a new dialogue. T (teacher): Hello! S (student): Hello! T: Nice to meet you. S: Nice to meet you, too. T: What are these?

S: They are books. T: Are those pens?. S: No, they’re pencils. T: Can I use your pencil? S: Of course, yes. Here you are. T: Thank you. The students make a new dialogue in four groups like the example. And make a show after three minutes.

Step 5 Summary and assessment

The teacher counts how many cars do they get. Which group gets more cars is the winner of this lesson. Step 6 Homework Talk with your parents. Use the sentence patterns “What are these/those? They’re ... Are these/those...? Yes, they are. No, they aren’t.”
