According to this question, the teacher leads the students to come up with the definition of Fantasy Literature—Stories that take place in a magical and impossible world. 3.

Introduce British writer Phillip Pullman and his famous writing—His Dark Material. The reading passage “The Cat That Vanished” comes from this work. Step 2: while-reading 1.

Watch a flash based on the reading passage and try to get the main idea of the story and its main characters. 2.

Divide the whole passage into four parts and locate them after careful reading. ① The cat comes up to Will.
