教学目标
知识目标:
通过阅读学习有关5月和6月的节日、时间以及庆祝方式的英文表达,结合阅读内容进行复述及口头交流。
语言技能:
能够灵活运用本课所学内容谈论有关月份、节日等相关话题。
学习策略:
能够借助思维导图的方式将话题与所学内容、已有知识储备进行整合完成课堂任务。能够在课堂交流中注意倾听、积极思考,主动与他人进行交流。
情感态度:
通过父亲节与母亲节的名称及节日文化,教会学生懂得感恩,学会表达自己的情感。
文化意识:
了解世界各地儿童节的时间以及庆祝方式,激发学生了解不同国家文化的兴趣,进而学会尊重不同文化多样性,开拓学生国际视野,培养学生跨文化交流意识。
学情分析
六年级学生已初步掌握了自学单词和一些简单的阅读技巧方法,能够用英语去完成某些相对简单的任务。通过思维导图模式,帮助学生理清思路、拓展思维,将新旧知识融合在一起;培养学生的阅读技巧,以及英语的表达能力,引导他们大胆去说。同时六年级学生正处于求知欲旺盛的时期,课上除了知识的传授,我也是通过视频的方式为孩子们介绍了世界各地儿童节的庆祝方式,帮助学生更多的了解中西方的文化差异。
重点难点
重点: 学会有关5.6月份的时间、活动以及节日的英文表达方式
难点: 根据思维导图,进行课文复述。
教学过程:
Step1:Warm-up
1.Greetings.
2.Sing the song “the month of year”.
Step 2: Presentation
1.Learn the words May and June, and sentences “May is the fifth month of the year.” and “June is the sixth month of the year.”
1>T: Boys and girls, can you tell me “how many months are there in a year?”
S:There are twelve months in a year.
T: From the English songs, can you tell me what the first six months are?
S: They are January, February, March, April, May and June.
T: And January is the ...
S: January is the first month of the year. February is the second month of the year. March is the third month of the year. April is the fourth month of the year.
T: OK, excellent. And ...
T&S: May is the fifth month of the year. June is the sixth month of the year. 2>Rush to answer to consolidate the two sentences.
3>Chant “April May and June” to practise the two words once again.
2.Learn about the month of May, including festivals, when, and activities.
1>Look at the calender of May in 2018.
Q: How many days are there in May?
What festivals are in May?
2>Watch the video and then find the answers.
3>There are two festivals in May. They are Labour Day and Mother’s Day.
Learn about when are they, and exactly when Mother’s Day is.
4>What do people do to celebrate Labour Day and Mother’s Day.
5>Ask students what presents they give their mothers to show their love.
6>Try to introduce the month of May
3.In the similar methods, Learn about the month of June, including festivals, when, and activities.
1>Watch the video, and then tell us what festivals are in June.
2>When are they and how to celebrate.
3>Observe the calenders in June carefully, and then find out exactly when the Father’s Day is.
4>Q: What presents do you give to your fathers to show your love.
Ask students tol ove our parents, and help them to do something what we can do. 5>Learn the words “perform”and the sentences “Many people perform to celebrate.”
6>Learn about Children’s Day around the world.
7>Try to introduce the month of June.
Step 4. Practise
Talk in groups and write your information on your paper. Then share it with all of our classmates. Fly your dream and go for it.

Step 5. Homework.
1>Retell the text in your own words.
2>Talk about your favourite festival with your friends or your parents.
