《Recycle 1 An email from Sydney》教学设计 教学内容：人教版PEP小学英语五年级下册Recycle 1第二课时。

教学目标

1、通过阅读理解电子邮件，复习与巩固1-3单元的核心语言。

2、能够根据所提供的信息，写出两个句子，补全电子邮件。

3、初步了解信件、电子邮件的格式，能够把前三个单元所学语言知识灵活运用，尝试仿写电子邮件。

4、在阅读理解邮件过程中，培养学生乐于了解异域文化的热情，热爱旅游的生活方式。

教学重点：

阅读并理解电子邮件的内容，巩固1-3单元的核心语言。

教学难点：灵活运用前三个单元所学语言知识，完成邮件的仿写。

学情分析：五年级的学生已经学习了两年半的英语，有了一定学习经验，掌握了一定的词汇和句式。他们前三个单元学习得比较扎实，但是他们缺乏对知识的整合能力和连缀成篇的能力。

教学过程：

活动一：English show 【设计意图：进行常规的课前英语展示，要求每次学生展示之后能提出1-3个相关问题与其他学生互动，逐步培养学生英语表达能力，认真倾听的习惯和乐于参与的热情。】

活动二：Warm-up: Sing an English song: What’s your favorite season? After the song, there are two questions for students. (1) How many

seasons are there in a year? (2)What are they? 【设计意图：歌曲激趣，引领学生快速进入与季节相关的话题中来】

活动三：Review: 1. Review words: How many months are there in a year? Say them one by one. 2. Review sentences: Show pictures of seasons and review the important sentences. (1) Which season is it? /What’s the weather like in spring? /What do you often do in spring? (2) Which season is it? / What can you wear in summer? /What can you eat in summer? (3) Which season is it? / What do you often do in autumn? (4) Which season is it? / Do you like winter? / I don’t like winter, because it’s too cold for me. But there are 3 great festivals in winter. Do you know them? (5)I like spring best. Which season do you like best? Why? 【设计意图：复习月份的单词以及与季节有关的句式，涵盖了四个季节的天气、饮食、着装、活动以及节日的内容，为下一步的学习做好铺垫。】

活动四：Lead-in: 1、Show pictures of Beijing and Sydney：It is spring in Beijing in April, Is it spring in Sydney, too？

2、Listen to the tape and answer the question: Is it spring in April in Sydney? 【设计意图：以学生熟悉的北京四月是春天为媒介，引领学生认真倾听录音内容，思考同样是在四月，悉尼也是春天吗？让学生初步感知悉尼与中国季节的差异】

活动五：Learn the email

1. Pre-reading: Look at the map of the world. The red part is China, the yellow part is Australia. China is in the northern part of the world. Australia is in the southern part of the world. So when it’s spring in Beijing, it’s autumn in Australia. When it’s summer in Beijing, it’s winter in Australia. 【设计意图：利用地图课件学生可以直观地看到中国在北半球，澳大利亚在南半球，知道两个国家季节正好相反，为后面的学习扫清地域文化差异的障碍。】

2. While- reading (1) Listen again and underline the words or phrases you don’t know. (2) Learn new words together: Sydney Royal Easter Show, the largest event (3) Understand the new words and enjoy the video of the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

(4) Underline the key phrases, then read and translate them in pairs. (5)Understand the difficult sentence: When you come, you can visit the Sydney Royal Easter show. 【设计意图：重点学习新单词Sydney Royal Easter Show和 the largest event，通过图片和视频来真切理解悉尼皇家复活节展览是澳大利亚最重大的事件，有助于学生了解外来文化，更好地理解邮件内容。】

3. Post-reading (1)Read and translate the email in groups, and answer three questions. (2)At the end of the email, Stella asked Sarah two questions. If you were Sarah, can you answer the questions? (3) Watch the email and pay attention to the format of an email, then say it together. (4) Look at another email, finish Sarah’s reply. 【设计意图：把电子邮件格式的学习穿插进来，整体感知邮件，为学生仿写做铺垫。】

4. Consolidation Enjoy a group of pictures of hometown and finish a new email 【设计意图：以小组合作的形式完成小练笔，既节省了时间，又做到了集思广益，同时培养了学生团结协作的精神。】

5. Summary and moral education Today we have learned an email from Sydney. We also wrote a new email in groups. At last, I give you two sentences. Read ten thousand books, travel ten thousand miles.读万卷书，行万里路。 Travel broadens the mind.旅游开阔眼界。

【设计意图：学生通过电子邮件，了解了澳大利亚季节、天气及传统盛会，对异域文化充满了向往，最后送给学生两句话，鼓励这些大山里的孩子放眼世界，热爱旅游。】
