Step 1 Warm-up

Guessing game For example: It’s my pet.

It has four legs. It has a short tail. We are friends. Its name is “Wang Wang”

Children guess “what’s the animal?”. Then divide the class into 4 teams to have a competition.( Dog team; Cat team; Snake team and Rabbit team) Step 2 New knowledge.

Show Andy’s snake.

The snake is sad. Why? ·Watch the video and think about the question. T: After watching, who can tell me why the snake is sad? Ss: The snake said: I have no beautiful ears. I have no beautiful legs. I can’t fly. I’m not cute.

T: Yes , you are right. And what other animals can you see in the video?

Ss: Bird, dog, rabbit, bird and turtle.

T: You are very good. Now let’s watch again and find: “What do the animals look like?”

·Watch the video again. Ask and answer:

——What does the dog look like? ——It has beautiful legs.

(Use the same way to talk about the other animals.)

Step 3 Do some exercises. . ·

Listen to the story and repeat sentence by sentence.

Look, the animals don’t have a home. They need a warmly home. They need our love .Let’s protect the animals and love them.

《Story Time》课后反思

本课是绘本故事教学，在本课中，我采用的是歌曲导入，这首关于动物的歌曲孩子们朗朗上口，再加上我为孩子们编排的动作，能让孩子们迅速进入到学习状态。再用一个猜动物的小游戏将孩子们分成4组，鼓舞了学习的动力，有趣的猜谜游戏也让孩子们迅速投入，兴趣高涨。接着抛出问题“为什么Andy的宠物蛇不高兴？”引导孩子们来观看故事动画，带着问题观看，更加认真专注。接着提出有关视频的问题，孩子们也能踊跃的回答。再次观看，让孩子了解故事的具体内容，抓出句型“What does it look like？”通过问答练习，掌握句子，并熟悉故事细节。之后再听读就非常容易，孩子们信心十足。这样由词到句，再由句到篇，层层递进，学起来非常轻松。游戏和分角色表演也达到了对故事进巩固的目的。本节课孩子们几乎都掌握了故事的情节和句型，能自主阅读和表演，达到了教学目的。最后拓展部分选出几张较为震撼的流浪动物的图片，呼吁孩子们爱护动物，引起了孩子们的共鸣。
