一、设计思路

（一）教学内容分析

本单元是小学英语六年级上册Unit 4的教学内容，涉及月份和每个月份中的节日。

本节课为本单元的复习课，主要学习关于儿童节的一篇阅读，贴近学生实际生活，让学生了解美国的节日。

（二）学情分析

六年级的学生已有了初步的语言积累，掌握了一些基本动词，能够在一定的情境下理解、感知简单的语言材料。

二、教学目标

知识与技能：

1. 复习本单元的语言

2. 通过阅读，逐步培养学生的阅读兴趣，提高学生的阅读技能。

文化与情感：

本单元的阅读文段是中国的儿童节活动和美国儿童节的由来。通过阅读，开阔学生的视野，提高文化理解和人文素养。

学习策略：

1.

能在课堂学习中，积极阅读，理解文段的内容大意。

2.

注意倾听，认真模仿，积极思考，参与讨论。

3. 能通过提供的学习资源，善于观察，学会判断并积极用英语交流。

三、教学重难点

重点：

能在具体的情境中听、说、理解、认读本节课的重点词汇和语句。

难点：

能在具体的情境中，恰当地运用

“I wish…”等语句进行真实交际,

并且能够根据阅读材料回答问题,写出中国和美国的不同节日。

四、教学过程

Step One: Warming-up 1. Greeting. 2. Review the months from “January”

to “June”.Let the students guess months. 设计意图：点燃学生学习英语的热情，利用生动活泼的卡片自然地带领学生复习学过的月份，引出本课主题，为新课的学习做好铺垫。

Step Two: Presentation 1. Look, listen and talk about the festivals in these months.

T: This is New Year’s Day. People can have a holiday on New Year’s Day. Review the festivals: Spring Festival, Tree Planting Day , Easter, Father’s Day , Labour Day and Father’s Day.

设计意图：播放多媒体课件，引导学生复习巩固学过的节日和月份。

Look , This is Mother’s Day . On this day you can give some gifts to your mother. Watch the video, There are so many gifts. Look at HuangLei and his daughter Duoduo. Duoduo draws a picture to her mother. Do you think it is beautiful ? I think her mother likes the gift very much. This is a special gift? Which gift can you give to your mother?

设计意图：在看课件时，给出多种礼物，然后强调多多给她妈妈的礼物是自己做的，这是一个特殊的礼物，体会special这个单词的意思。

This is Children’s Day. Children’s Day is a special day for all the children. When is Children’s Day and what do you do on it? 设计意图：首先要让孩子们说一说自己如何过儿童节，为新课做铺垫。

Step Three: Practice 1.

You have many activities on Children’s Day. I think you are happy on it. Let’s read the story and listen to the tape. And answer the questions. What do they do on Children’s Day?

设计意图：引导学生整体感知文本，理解文本，并给故事问题做回答，检验学

生听力理解能力。回答文章中孩子如何过儿童节。

2. Children all over the world have Children’s Day. Do you remember? We have learned it. In

Australia, it’s on the fourth Wednesday in October. In New Zealand it’s on the first Sunday in March. In America they had no Children’s Day before. But now they can celebrate it . Do you know why? 1) Because a little boy, he wrote a letter to the present. 2) Look, this is the letter. I wish……. 3) Do you know “wish”? Look, I wish I had a lot of money. I can buy a lot of things.

What do you wish? I wish…

设计意图：通过让学生-听-说阅读的录音，巩固知识，体会wish 这个单词的意思去说出自己的愿望，体验学习过程的乐趣。

3 .Next how did the president answer him? Listen to the recorder. Listen and answer the question.

When is Children’s Day in America? Why did the American boy write a letter to the president? 设计意图：通过听阅读的录音，来理解文本的大概意思，并回答问题，帮助孩子

学会如何去做阅读理解，为今后的学习做好准备。
