1.Teaching Material

The lesson is from listen and say part of Unit 5 and 4A of SEP Primary English book and the main topic of this lesson is My friends . After learning this lesson , students can introduce somebody to another . At the same time , students can describe their friends to another . If the students can learn it well , it will be helpful to learn the rest of this unit .

2.Teaching Aims:

Knowledge aim: students can master the pronunciation and understand some new words and sentences ;

Ability aim : students can use the sentence pattern in their daily lives and improve their ability of speaking English ;

Emotional aim : students can improve the confidence of learning English and not afraid of speaking English in public and deepen the friendship with another .

3.Key and Difficult Points:

Key point : the pronunciation of new words and use the sentence pattern .

such as : He has ...

Difficult point : how to use the sentence pattern in their daily lives .

4.Teaching and Learning Methods :

Teaching Methods :Communicative Language and Task-Based Language Teaching Methods ; Learning Methods :Cooperative and Autonomous Learning Methods .

So as to become the real host of the class

5.Teaching Procedures : It’s made up of 5 steps

Step1:warming up :

I'll greet and sing a chant with all the students .

Such as: Good morning , everyone ! How are you today? It's sunny today , are you happy ? Now at first let's sing a chant that we learnt last class .

Red is color for the tomato ;

Yellow is color for the banana ;

Blue is color for the sky and sea ;

Green is color for the leaves on the tree .

Next let's look at the picture of the PPT . There is a beautiful girl ,right ?

let me introduce her . She has a dress , It’s red and white . She can dance . She has short hair . Now Can you guess who is she ? ---She is our friend . Is she your friend ? Yes , She is our friend .

This is our topic today , Now let's move to our new lesson Unit 5: My friends

Through the chant and questions , students can arouse the interest and bring them up

learn English happily and would be very glad to pay attention to this lesson .

Step2:Pro-listening: At the beginnin of this class , let' s learn some new words that'll appear in the listening material . I'll draw the simple pictures . Students can guess what is it ? Then they can learn some new words. Like this :

Through this activity , students can know some new words and sentences that would be very helpful for their listening activity .

Step3:While-listening:

I'll ask the students to listen to the tape for the first time and tell me what does the listening material talk about ? Through this section , students could understand the main idea of this passage . The main idea is how to introduce my friend .

At the second time of listening , students should listen carefully and answer my question . I'll give them 5 minites to finish this part .

Questions : Who is Joe's friend ? Answer : Tom .

What does Tom have? He has a green T-shirt and

a pair of brown shorts.

What does Peter have ? He has an orange T-shirt .

What does Sally have ? She has a red skirt .

Through this activity , students could understand the passage in detail and improve their speaking ability .

Step4:Post-listening:

I'll lead my students to play a game . It's called hot potato. Students must follow the rules . I have a hot potato on my hand . It's very very hot . I don't get it . I'll give it to somebody (look at somebody and say).You can pass it to your deskmates at first and (look at the deskmates )you can pass it on this turn (sign language). At the same time , I'll play the music . When the music stops ,

the one who gets the hot potato , he should read all the new words in the blackboard .

Through this section , students can consolidate the knowledge of today and have confidence to speak English in public.

Step5:Summary and Homework:

Summary: By the end of the lesson , I will let students close their eyes and think about the

key words and sentences of this lesson . Then make summary together .

Through this step , students can deepen impression of key words and sentences

and deepen the friendship with another .

Homework: Finally , I'll set a piece of homework , such as : describes your friend to your deskmates and then you can exchange .

The purpose of this homework , students can review that they learned today .

6.Blackboard design:

Here are my blackboard design . In this way , students can see the content we've learned today clearly and orderly .

7. Teaching reflection:

In order to advance with the development of the new curriculum standard , I'd like to analyze my teaching from the following aspects:

1) Preparation and teaching process

During my preparation , I prepared a lot of pictures to realize the revision and teaching of new words . I found that they were quite attractive when students saw them during the teaching . However , I felt it a pity that I didn't give them time to present their papers and correct their mistakes .

2) Students' learning process

Before class , I tried to relax them by singing a chant and asking them to wave their hands . They were very cooperative and felt a little more confident . For most of the time , all of the students were very hard- working . However , I found some problems when they stood up to give me answers . So I tried to speak more slowly and clearly , give them more time to think and speak .

All in all , on one hand , this was a some unsatisfactory elements in my teaching . I think it would be better for me to improve the teaching procedure for future use . In addition ,

the

classed should be practical and adhere to the students' ability . I learned a lot from my experience and my teaching. In order to realize the new concept of teaching , I think I need to do more research on the textbook and learn more from the others .
