一、教学内容
绘本The Little Red Hen
二、教学目标
1、通过阅读能熟读并灵活运用已学词句,如plant the wheats,cut the wheats等
2、能借助图片读懂文章内容,能改编故事并与他人合作表演故事,学会一些阅读技巧,如找关键词,带着问题阅读,快速阅读、浏览
3、通过与他人共同完成一个作品,培养团队合作精神,感受帮助他人的成就感,学习做一个乐于助人、勤奋努力的人
三、教学重难点
1、读懂文章内容,并能输出和运用主要短语和句型。
2、学会一些阅读技巧,如找关键词,快速阅读、浏览
3、结合自己的理解,将故事改写成对话,与队员分工协作,表演展示
四、教学过程
Step 1 Warm-up 1. Greetings.
Hello, children, nice to see you again, do you remember me? I’m Miss Pan, last lesson, we learn vegetables together, right. First, let’s sing a song together, Old MacDonald has a farm. 2. What animals can you see? Do you know any other animals on the farm? Present a picture of farm. Teacher point and students say. 3. I like horses best, because they’re helpful and hard-working. Which animal do you like best? Why? Review adjectives. Present pictures of animals with obvious characteristics, elicit “a sleepy cat” “a helpful dog” etc.
Step 2 Pre-reading 1. lead in: Introduce the main character—“the little
red hen”. She is “a hardworking hen”. Today, we’re going to learn a story about a hard-working hen, first, let’s look at the cover of this book, what can you see in the picture? Do you like them? who are they? are they friends? maybe, they all live on the farm.
2. Picture one, the little red hen finds a bag of wheat seeds, ask questions what happens next? What do you do if you have a bag of seeds? Eat or plant? Can you guess, what does the little red hen do? 3. Assign the task. Read the story quickly and put the pictures in right order. You can find the words from the story book, What does she do? learn the phrase one by one. Step 3 While-reading 1.
Let’s listen to the story.

First reading. Let’s read it together, read the story with students. Students are animals. 3. Second reading. (1) Ask the question, “What does she do?” “Who helps her?”
“the dog?”the cat? The duck? No one helps her. (2) Role-play, let’s act it out. Step 4 Post-reading 1. “will you help her if you are the cat/dog/duck?” Have students discuss what they
would do. Elicit “yes, i will”. the story is not finished, let’s look at the board, read the last two pictures. Students read it together. 2. Do you think the cat, the dog and the duck are good friends? Elicit “A friend in need is a friend indeed.”
Step 5 Summary 1.
Homework, tell the story to your parents. 2.
Act the story out with your friends.
