教材分析：

课文属于说明文。文本内容简洁，直白易懂。采用举例说明的方式，对如何照顾植物进项了阐述。但文本中含有不少多义词和多词性的词，这既是学生学习的盲点，也是高中英语的考察重点。

学情分析：

高一（3）班学生在笔头表达上比较薄弱，尤其体现在翻译句子和11选10的习题中。本单元内容较简单，但多义词，多词性的词较为丰富，对这类词进行有效拓展，有利于学生有效积累及正确运用词汇。

教学重点与难点：

学生需掌握结合语境判断词义。

2.

学生需掌握在不同语境下的词义、词性运用。

3.

学生能在翻译和选词填空中恰当运用对应的词义。

Pre-task Teacher’s Activities

Ask students questions and think about words with various meanings and part of speech. While-task Ask students to scan words listed on the screen and give the meanings used in the textbook. Ask students to read sentences and guess the meaning used in each context.

Ask students to finish the exercises on each words. Post-task Ask students to translate sentences with words taught in class. Ask students to fill in the blanks with the words in the box. Assignment
