1. 学生看到读本插图后,后邻桌交流讨论,七嘴八舌;

2. 学生只看读物的图,不看文字了解读物内容;

3. 学生可能会专注于读物,没能跟着录音阅读故事;

4. 学生可能无法使用英语回答问题;

5. 学生可能看到展示的形状后无法马上进行数学逻辑思考,无法拼凑出相应图形;

Solutions 解决方案

1. 发放读本前,说明课堂纪律,Read alone, no speaking,养成良好的阅读习惯;

2. 跟学生一起观看封面图、卡片环游,跟学生一起回顾根据关键词预测、探索故事内容,鼓励学生主动思考,大胆想象;

3. What do they make? 让学生带着这个问题听录音看故事,指读可以防止学生听故事时走

4. 鼓励学生使用简单的英语表达自己的意思,实在不会的老师可以协助,鼓励学生大胆回1

答问题;

5. 老师示范如何使用图形搭建物品,引导学生进行创造性思维。

1. Greeting 2. Warm up: shapes song

Purpose of design: To catch the students’ attention and arouse their

interests.

3. Lead in: magic hat

T: Today I will play magic with you. Look, I have a magic hat. Can we get 导入

something from the magic hat?

T: What’s this?

SS: It’s a red triangle. ......... Purpose of design: To review the words they have learned, lead in the topic about shapes.

1. Find the shapes on the cover.

Purpose of design: Let the students to observe the book cover, hinting that

we will learn something about shapes.

2. Introduce the key information of the book.

Today, we are going to read this book. The name of the book is “What’s

this?” This book is from Oxford Read and Imagine early starter series. The

author of the book is Paul Shipton. And the illustrator is Steve Cox. It’s

published by Oxford university press.

Purpose of design:

Learn the key information of a book.

3. Guess: What do Ben and Rosie make on the page?

Purpose of design: Guess what is the story about?

4. Picture walk

What do they make by the shapes? Let’s check together. Look at the screen.

T: What’s this? TT: It’s a red square.

Draw the mind map with the students.

Purpose of design: Guess what will happen in the story with the students.

The students learn to sort out the information by how many, color and shape.

Forecast the content about the story.

1. Listen

What do they make by shapes? Let’s listen and find the answer. Please open your books and turn to page 14. Purpose of design: Listen the whole story and understand the story. 2. Match

Now take out your pencil and finish the sheet on your desk. One minute for you. Purpose of design: realize the relationship between shape and the house, the sun, the cloud and the ice cream. 2

3. Listen sentence by sentence What do they make by shapes? Let’s listen to the story sentence by sentence 阅读中

Finish the mind map with the students..
