一、教学目标

1.通过听、说,学习和表达家人及朋友工作地点的词、句:hospital、CCTV、shopping mall、Where does...work? He/She works... 2.能够在真实语境中初步运用表示工作地点的单词和句子;能够在实际生活中围绕职业、工作地点,进行简单的日常交流。

3.结合本课所学语言和内容,通过小组活动,使学生对职业有正确的认识,认识到各行各业都有其独特的价值,任何职业都值得尊重,初步树立职业理想。

二、学情分析

五年级的学生已经具备了一定的语言技能,能够通过老师创设的情境进行语言的运用。

三、教学重难点

教学重点:认识、会说、读、写hospital、CCTV、shopping mall. He/She works... 教学难点:会在真实情境中运用以上词和句。

四、教学过程

Step1:Warm-up 1. Introduce myself to the class.

T: I work at... And I like roses. If you do a great job, I'll give you a rose. 【设计意图】:在与学生自然交流的同时,交代本课的评价方式。

T:Guess! Where do I work? I work... Where does your English teacher work?

S: She works... T:Who’s this man? Where does he work?

S:He works... 【设计意图】:选取学生们身边熟悉的人物,由I work...自然过渡到第三人称She works...He works... 2. Listen and watch the song. Then fill in the blanks. 【设计意图】:让学生在轻松愉快的歌曲中突破语法点,并为学生学习新知做铺垫。

Step2:Presentation 1.

Gella works. 2.Do you want to know Gella? She works in a garden. 【设计意图】:选取由G发音为名的“Gella”作为贯穿本课的主线。初步感知g的发音。

3.Listen: Where does Gella’s father work? 【设计意图】:通过短小的语篇,让学生在语篇中迅速的提取信息。

To learn Beijing Hospital. Where does ...work? He works... 4. Play a chain game.

Practice: Where does ...work? He works... Do it in the group. 5.Introduce Gella’s father. He is... He is a... He works... 【设计意图】:引导学生有逻辑地介绍某人,让学生动脑思考,培养他们的逻辑思维能力。

What about your father? Where does your father work? He works... Discuss in the group. 6.

A guessing game. To guess where does Gella’s mother work. And watch a video of CCTV. 【设计意图】:为学生提供Hints,让他们在小语篇中获取信息。并通过视频激发学生学习兴趣,让学生从视觉上感受CCTV。

She is a TV reporter.+ She works at CCTV. 【设计意图】:培养学生整合句子的能力。

Introduce Gella’s mother. 9.

Where does the woman work? Does she work at CCTV? She works at TJTV. 【设计意图】:从CCTV过渡到本地电视台,让学生更有亲切感。

Interview. Where does ...work?

【设计意图】:让学生在真实的情境中运用语言,选一名小记者做采访,不失趣味性。

Gella’s sister. She works in a shopping mall. Which one is her sister?

Fill in the blanks. Which one is the shopping mall? 13.

Introduce Gella’s sister. 14.

Let’s chant:g 【设计意图】:有了大量的语言输入和初步感知,chant里的难点自然而然被突破了。

What will you do with these roses? T: I think your parents work hard every day. We should learn from them and maybe you can help them with the housework. 【设计意图】:培养学生尊重职位、体谅关心父母的情感,并引导他们可帮父母多做些力所能及的事情。

Step3: Practice 1.

Let’s write.Sum up Gella’s family. 【设计意图】:分层教学,让不同层次的学生都在此环节中得到巩固练习。
