Teaching Aims:

Knowledge and ability: 1. After the functional practice, the Ss. will be able to listen ,say ,read and write the words “black” and “white”. And try to use the colours in real life correctly and freely. 2. To use the drills “ Let’s draw a ... . Colour it ... .” in talks freely in English ,and to know some strategy of learning . 3. Train the students’ ability of listening and speaking.

Procedures and methods: 1. After the functional practice and various ways, the Ss. will be able to command the dialogue.

2. Task-based teaching method and communicate language teaching. Value of emotion and attitude:

To be more interested in English, to be polite and friendly to others and more love nature. Key Points: 1. To command the words and to know some strategy of learning . 2. To help the Ss say the drills well and make sure they can use them correctly. Difficulties: 1. The pronunciation of

“white”. 2. To write the four-skill words and to use them in talks. Teaching Aids: Computer, pictures, crayons, etc.

Teaching

Procedures: 一.Warming up and Revision 1. Listen to a song. 2. CAI: Show some animals’ pictures,let them say the animals and colours.

二.Presentation 1. CAI: Show a rabbit, say it with Ss. 2. Through the old words “blue, cat, duck” to introduce the new colour “black”, and read it.

3. Through the old words “what, bike, kite” to introduce the new colour “white”, and read by themselves. 4. Have a match: Say quickly and show quickly. 5. Introduce my panda and invite them draw and colour to lead out the new drills “Let’s draw a ….” And “ Colour it ….”.

6. Make some sentences. 7. Chant. 8. Ask them a question. Let them listen and answer about the dialogue. 9. CAI: Read and help them understand the dialogue. 三.Practice 1. Listen and imitate. 2. Help them read by themselves. 3. Read and role-play.

4. Recite the dialogue.

四.Production 1. Create the situation, let them invite their friends draw and colour. 2. Free talk about their pictures. 3. Do some exercises. 4. Assessment. 五.Summary 1. Summary and extend: what’s the meaning of the colours around their lives. 2. Set homework.
