Lesson 3 So many animals Good morning, everyone. Im glad to have the chance to learn teaching method from you. Today, Ill talk about Primary English Book2, Lesson 3 So many animals. 一.Teaching material analysis 1. Teaching items A. Knowledge aims Learn new words: “tiger, lion, rabbit, deer”. Learn the sentence patterns “Is

it„„”“Yes, it is/No, it isn’t” B. Ability aims To improve the students communication ability. The students can describe the different animals around them. C. Emotion aims To get the students get on well with each other. To build up the pupils’ confidence. We hope that the students are interested in English after studying this lesson. They are willing to read, talk and learn. 2. Important and difficult points A.Learn the new words“tiger, lion, rabbit, deer”. B.Learn the sentence patterns “Is it„„”“Yes, it is/No, it isn’t”. Difficult points To describe the different animals around the students correctly。

二. Teaching method The main instruction aims of learning English in primary school is to bring up students’ basic abilities of listening、speaking、reading、and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson, I’ll mainly use “task-based” teaching method. That is to say, I will let the student learn in real situations, finish a task by wring objects. And in this lesson, communication method will be needed. 三. Study method I request the students to study English in groups. Encourage the students to use more English in class students can make a discussion. Play game and learn from each other. It makes each student relaxed. They needn’t worry about making mistakes. It can arouse students to think out and to say what they want to say. Study becomes more relaxing and pleasing in this kind of environment. At the same time, they bring up their good sense of theEnglish language. 四.Teaching steps Step1. Greetings Make a conversation with students. Step2. Let’s students singing a song Step3. revision 1. Revise the name of animals learned before : show pictures of animals ( cat , duck , bear , monkey ,panda) ,and ask students to say them. 2.Revise the dialogue in let’s talk . Listen to the tape .ask students to repeat the dialogue of let’s talk. Then ask some students to act it out. Step 4.presentation 1. Learn the new words: tiger , lion , deer , rabbit . Ask the student to guess some riddles . For example:It’s an animals, it has red eyes and long ears , what’s in it? Students may answer in Chinese (rabbit). The teacher say the rabbit in English. Then teacher show these pictures on the blackboard one by one. Then let students read after the teacher. 2.Learn the new sentences: First show some pictures of animals .ask and answer : “ a cat?” , “yes, it is”.

“ a dog?”,

“no ,it isn’t”. then do it again. Ask and answer “I s it a cat?”,

“Yes ,it is” . “ I s it a dog?”,

“ No,it isn’t”. Step 5. Drills 1.Let the students to practice the dialogue in pairs.

2.Divide the class into two parts. let them ask and answer. For example:teacher show a animal toy of a tiger and says “ deer”. then ask the left half ask “is it a deer?”, and the right half answer “ no ,it isn’t”. Step6: Experience Give each student a piece of paper got ready before class. Encourage the students to draw different animals according to the meaning of each word on the paper. 五.Homework Copy the new words and recite the dialogue. 六、Blackboard Design.
