一、教材分析

本节课以Music Born in America为话题，介绍了美国的本土音乐，其中包括了Soul music, Gospel music, Jazz, Blues等。通过听、说、读、写四个技能方面的训练，要求学生能使用恰当的词汇与同学以音乐为主题展开讨论，了解中外音乐的相互影响，发表对音乐的观点和看法。

Introduction 部分介绍的四种美国本土的音乐类型，为整个模块的学习提供了一些知识储备，教师可以适当地帮助学生复习以前学过有关音乐的词汇，让学生能够形成比较系统的词汇网。

二、学者分析

高二学生的记忆力为旺盛期，思维能力逐渐增强，大多数学生对英语有浓厚的兴趣，也有一部分学生对英语有畏惧心理，因此，要充分利用学生的优势，加大课题信息量的输入，帮助有畏惧心理的学生，使他们逐渐获得成就感。

三、教学目标

(一)、情感态度与价值观

1.通过设置丰富的问题情境，鼓励学生从多角度思考、探索、交流，激发学生的好奇心和主动学习的欲望；鼓励学生上网搜索相关内容，学会利用丰富的网络资源。

2.培养学生对美国本土音乐产生兴趣，能够结合自己的所学，介绍一种中国传统的音乐类型。

(二)、过程与方法

1.初步学习课文中与音乐相关的词汇和句型，能够从不同角度去观察，用英语进行思考问题，体验不同的句型的表达作用；

2. 从文中总结出重要的词汇和句型，并仿照课文造出地道的英

语句子，初步体会英语在描述现实生活的功能与汉语表现方面的差异，构建自己的语言能力库；

3.能够尝试用英语描述不同音乐类型，小组讨论所遇到的问题，体验合作学习的过程。

（三）、知识与技能

1.发现总结本篇课文中与音乐相关的词汇和句型，并掌握其意义和功能。

能简单地口头介绍本人感兴趣的音乐类型，并写出相关的语篇。
